Chinese Embassy shortens list of Thai facilities approved for issuance of medical certificates for travellers to China

Embassy of The People’s Republic of China in The Kingdom of Thailand has reduced, from 51 to 36, the number of Thai hospitals and laboratories which they consider credible for the issuance of travel medical certificates (TMCs) for those visiting China, effective yesterday (Monday).

 

The embassy said that several travellers from Thailand, who were issued with a TMC by some hospitals and laboratories, tested positive for COVID-19 upon arrival in China.

 

The Thai hospitals and labs, still recognised by the Chinese Embassy for the issuance of TMCs, are:

 

Bamrasnaradura Infectious Diseases Institute
Health Checkup Center for Going Abroad, Ramathibodi Hospital Rewadi Health Service
Bumrungrad International Hospital
BIO Molecular Laboratories (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
Ramkhamhaeng Hospital....

So much for Thailand being a hub of world Health tourism if their closest buddy halves the numbers of approval sites.

 

Think this is not only going to put a short term nail in the Chinese tourism but a shrouded encasement of cement in a 100ft deep bunker

Whatever happens, sadly the dumb general will continue kowtowing to Xi, as he has sold the country already to China by taking huge loans for high-speed trains and useless submarines.

 

The relationship between both countries and its leaders now is a bit like that of a strict daddy and a untrustworthy child. Daddy China has all the control, and of course knows that the child Thailand represented by Prayut and Prawit cannot be trusted due to incompetence.

 

Surely Prayut will kowtow and apologize for that embarrassment with the medical certificates. What other choice does he have?

You missed the entire point of the article... that it's about people going from Thailand to China not traveling from there. But at least you got your Thailand bash in early...how many more can we expect today?

The usual medical certificate farce when required for driving license etc. Check BP and temp and you are good to go. Looks like they have been caught out with this BS.

Just who the heck would want to go to China, when so little of their population as been vaccinated?

   I doubt that the majority of China will have their vaccines, for at least 3 to 5 years.

   Good Luck with anyone being foolish to travel to to the origin country of COVID.
