Deputy commander of the Royal Thai Police general Damrongsak Kittipraphat gave details yesterday of the first couple of days of fines and cases against people in Thailand flouting the mask wearing regulations outside their homes.

There were 13 cases nationwide.

There was only one in the whole of Bangkok the Thai capital that has a population of 10,722,815 people.

His name is Prayuth Chan-ocha and his job is prime minister.

The miscreant was fined 6,000 baht for breaking the rules in Dusit district.

Daily News called this offender "Big Too" in their headline. (Too in Thai means to grab by force).

Other offenders nationwide were two in court in Ayutthaya fined 2,000 baht each, two in Chanthaburi 6,000 baht each, five in Nakhon Phanom fined 6,000 baht (one more pending in court, one in Surat Thani fined 2,000 baht and one in Pattani fined 1,000 baht.

There have also been 186 violations of the emergency decree with two main gatherings in Hat Yai and Chonburi causing problems.

Cases fined yesterday might not have been properly registrated yet. Need to wait a few days.

What a lot of rubbish,,,,,,, Mr Plods pockets are bulging

There won't be a single police sat behind a desk for the last few days........

From another thread....

"Prayut and his economic team facing unprecedented test of crisis management"

13 out of 70 million people.
Like enforcement of traffic laws, this will be selectively enforced at roadblocks and checkpoint bases on perceived ability to pay.  Out in rural Thailand it will be ignored.
