Picture: Thai Rath

A poll conducted by Suan Dusit last week indicates that Thai people have high confidence in vaccines for Covid-19 and trust in their health service's information.

The poll asked 2,644 people their views on a variety of vaccination questions, reported Thai Rath.

Coming out top with an approval rating of 75.11 % was Pfizer vaccine, with Moderna at 72.14%, Johnson and Johnson 68.52%, AstraZeneca 65.89% and Sputnik at 61.89%.

59.64% were concerned about possible side-effects and 67.74% wanted more explanation.

64.39% had decided to be vaccinated.

56.49% had already registered for it.

Confidence was highest regarding information from the government via the Ministry of Public Health and local authorities.

The results represented high interest in vaccination after the third wave of infections in the country, noted Thai Rath.

I bet these respondents also would prefer a Mercedes over a Toyota. It doesn't mean they can get one.

Yet we  both  know which one is  actually more reliable,  better  built, and will  last the longest.

Print some stickers and put it on the ........ one.

I can well and truly see that  happening, they don't  like to  miss  an opportunity to cash in.

And Prayuth promotes trust in Sinovac and Astra Zeneca... I think he is missing the feeling with the Thai population... but as foreigners we knew already

at some 7.5k per dose and later every 6-12 months, how many families can afford it?

In the usa they have already started vaccinating from 12 yo.

So a family of 4 has to fork out now 60k and within a year another 30k.

How many have that much disposable income?

In a very few companies employers will pay those bills.

Anyway, it's not coming before the 3rd wave is over. Will arrive just before the 4th wave at the end of year

no, that price 7.5k was flying a month ago.

the 3k is for moderna. The government is buying it for $34.

But there would be also cost of insurance added, some 100b.

Since than also Anutin put 12% on any vax from the west

Weird that anyone knew anything about Sputnik?

Also interesting that this poll was published given the results.

Expecting a "Super Poll" where 112% of the people think Sinovac is the best, while only 12% think a Roomba is any good.

Sputnik apparently shunned by Russians with only 10% take up according to the BBC ????
