Public transport chaeng wattana Gov complex

Featured Replies

Looking around Chatuchak I don't see the white mini buses there that used to be able to take to CW gov centre .. have they finished or can get from elsewhere ?

I don't know the answer to your question, but I presume bus # 52 is still running.

You can also take the BTS to Wat Phra Sri Mahathat and then a 10 minute taxi (about 60 baht) or Motorbike to CW Immigration.  Faster, safer, and possibly cheaper?

I went there last week to handle some stuff and the train was mostly empty (mid-day).

Here's a map showing which exits you want for taxi or motorcycle taxi....

And an overview map...

Yes it does. Maybe a bit of a wait a bit further down from outside the BTS Station but it does. Costs all of about 10 baht and takes about 30 min. Seems a much longer wait for the return bus outside the CW complex but I usually took the minivans from there.

Now I take taxis in Bangkok : motobike, when you are two people,  double price ; motobike, dangerous, not anymore for me

Just saw red bus 66 that had written on the side "Government Complex" as final destination.

Never took it myself. Usually took Grab when I needed to go there.

Actually try this: https://www.transitbangkok.com/stations/Bangkok Bus/Government Complex Bus Terminal

At the top, enter where you want to go from there (assuming buses running the same route in both directions), or use your location and enter Government Complex Bus Terminal as destination.

There are two bus 66 runs to the complex, one is open air (red) and the other air conditioned (yellow).

Occasionally the yellow 66 buses try very hard not pick up anyone leaving the complex, we practically had to throw ourselves in front of the bus to get the drivers attention a couple of times. There were a few of us and we enjoyed making him do his job... he was not happy hehe   The red bus always stops.
