webfact Posted June 6, 2021 Posted June 6, 2021 By Erich Parpart Thailand is set to launch its vaccination drive with locally produced vaccines on June 7 despite reports of shortages and distribution concerns. However, the government says that any shortages will be made up with imported vaccines and that all that have registered to receive their jabs will be able to do so without delay. Here is a round up of the government’s ongoing vaccination plans. The Department of Disease Control said that the government will receive seven million doses of AstraZeneca and Sinovac vaccines within June and they will be distributed to hospitals and vaccination centers around the country. ikke1959 Posted June 6, 2021 Posted June 6, 2021 How can you get in time your jab if there are only jabs for 1 day.. If there is a week delay ALL appointments are moved an nobody will get their jab on the day they should... So only day 1 get the vaccine sin time all the other ones not 1
Popular Post herfiehandbag Posted June 7, 2021 Popular Post Posted June 7, 2021 The plan? Grand announcements, new deliveries announced/predicted, lots of photos of busy vaccination centres, no details, appointments deferred, lies and obfuscation. All in an attempt, about as effective as a smokescreen in a hurricane, to cover up the fact that they have nowhere near enough vaccines to get anywhere near the coverage they have been boasting they will achieve. 7 1

Exactly buch of lies. I was supposed to get a jab today but the site has a sign saying delayed indefinitely so without delay is rubbish. 6

Not quite truthful unfortunately. Many who had been scheduled in the first few days in many locations have been canceled amid the lack of vaccines being on-hand to inoculate them. You have to wonder why they are continuing on with the "Enough Vaccines for all: mantra when many are being disenfranchised, not just Thais either, and they are scrambling to obtain vaccines from other manufacturers to plug the holes. Transparency and truthfulness would have bought them loads of good faith amongst the Thai folks I know that have been canceled for their vaccination appointments throughout the country. To promise these people vaccines and then falling backwards in their promise just adds more fuel to the fire of hatred of this government. Will the people speak up, not in my view unfortunately, as they have not in the past. Stay safe folks and take care of your families and friends as these folks will not. 4 1

mtls2005 Posted June 7, 2021 Posted June 7, 2021 The main challenge with these "explanations" is that they are dated by the time the editor gets their first draft. And no one, although Thai Enquirer does have some sources, in the gummint will confirm or deny statements made by other gummint officials. Usefulness? Not much. At least no trees were harmed.
clivebaxter Posted June 7, 2021 Posted June 7, 2021 They seem to have planned to make it impossible to get a date and time on their latest foreigner register website. Lets you pick the hospital and even the vaccine, but with date and time not working it's still pretty pointless 2

I was supposed to get a jab today but the site has a sign saying delayed indefinitely so without delay is rubbish. I suppose it depends on which hospitals have received their vaccines. We live in the sticks and the wife got a call on Friday night asking if hubby (me) was coming on Monday for the AZ jab, e.g. she registered me on the Mor Prom site when it originally opened up. Being over 60 and having a pre-existing condition, I thought back then, ok, register me, it can't hurt, long of the short, I told the wife to thank them, but I won't be coming as I changed my mind for reasons I don't want to mention, but will say I will wait till more vaccines are available and more data comes through, besides, what's the rush, staying alive has always been a challenge, nothing new except a lot of fear and panic, and I have managed to now be in a comfortable place, mind wise. Stay safe and remember, we are all going to the same place, and no one knows when, but it's inevitable ???? 5
Popular Post rbkk Posted June 7, 2021 Popular Post Posted June 7, 2021 I have just returned from my local hospital (8.15 AM) where I saw that the vaccination program is in full swing but without me. My June 7th confirmed appt has been cancelled but not for many younger fitter Thais. The Government are obviously going to bury this "Bad" news story under the "Good" news story. I wonder how the British Ambassador is feeling this morning after having been lied too last week by the Thai PM. 4 1 1 1
Popular Post newnative Posted June 7, 2021 Popular Post Posted June 7, 2021 Flat out lie. Everyone registered will not get their vaccinations. Disgusting to read this. Just tell the truth. Better to have the truth and know what is the real situation. 3

Uroller Posted June 7, 2021 Posted June 7, 2021 Here we go just like in the movies this will be Take 57 but no action????
Cake Monster Posted June 7, 2021 Posted June 7, 2021 Yesterday Evening whilst all eating our Evening Meal, my Daughter said that she did not have any " online " lessons tomorrow ( Monday ). " Oh ! whys that " I asked. " My Teacher is being Vaccinated " she replied. I was gob-smacked. It takes a minimum of 2-3 Weeks for any Vaccine to work after the Inoculation date, and Schools open up on 14 th June .... 1 Week from jab date. If all the Teachers are being Inoculated today, then every child in Thailand could potentially be in danger upon return to School next week. The Insanity just keeps on coming 2 1
