BANGKOK (NNT) - King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, has again introduced new technology in the hope of raising Thailand’s healthcare capability.

The items of technology invented by King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang together with King Mongkut Chaokhun Tahan Hospital Foundation included Thailand’s first ever Ai-operated detector able to detect a mutating Coronavirus.

According to the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of KMITL, Dr. Anan Srikiatkhachorn, there are currently eight major coronavirus strains that are being monitored worldwide as they tend to mutate more than others, as well as being able to cause more severe symptoms. The detector will read the genome of the virus and report if there is a risk of mutation, so further medical techniques can be applied.

Meanwhile, KMITL Chancellor, Dr. Suchatvee Suwansawat today added that the university is always inventing new equipment in order to keep Thailand sustainable in healthcare. Earlier, the university unveiled new medical equipment such as an emergency ventilator, an Ai-operated patient monitoring system, UV light disinfecting machine and other inventions.

Approximately 2 months ago there had been over 4,000 mutations of the SARS Cov2 virus.

How many have there been now?

I have a BS detector, wonder if it works along similar technological principles ? The Thais invent so many things don't they they must be world leaders at something. Mind you the bum gum reaches parts that others can not and that really is worthy of praise and is a good invention, no s$$t

Previously used to detect bombs?

I thought UV light disinfection had been in use for many years. Also used in water, food, agriculture and medical industries to kill bacteria and viruses.

Not really sure how to take that statement.... because, personally, I am inventing things all the time, which is the main reason why my friends and acquaintances tend to call me a delusional daydreamer.

The Ai-operated detector will be the justification to keep Thailand under emergency lockdowns including mandatory masks and closures of bars and entertainment venues for the foreseeable future, as well as being the justification for mandatory vaccines and mandatory boosters every 6 to 12 months.

"UV light disinfecting machine"

Someone needs to let them know that was invented in the 20th century

Just you wait! Before you know it they're going to invent an oven that emits a certain type of ultra-short waves that can cook food in seconds; and then they're going to come up with a method to cushion vehicle wheels by "upholstering" them with a rubber tube.

Can't think of one thing Thailand's invented, unless you include cons.

You forgot the invention of the "sick water buffalo fairytale". It worked perfectly fine 50 years ago, and it is still working perfectly fine today. Now... that's what I call a success story as far as inventions go.
