Daily News reported that there were now only six provinces in Thailand where there were no cases of Covid-19. This was down from 20 and as a result of workers going back up-country to their hometowns.

CCSA spokesman Dr Taveesilp Visanuyotin said those showing symptoms should present themselves to health authorities so they can be helped.

The six provinces with no cases are Mahasarakham, Lamphun, Trat, Yasothon, Mae Hong Son and Mukdahan.

It was also reported that nine provinces including Bangkok have more than 100 cases.

This is down from 12.

The others are Samut Prakan, Samut Sakhon, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Songkhla, Pattani, Chonburi and Nakhon Pathom.

In your sentence replace "no covid" with "no covid symptoms" and there you have it.

How can you possibly claim it's not true when no time scale has been stated? My wife reads and translates the daily reports for our province and all of them are persons who have travelled out from the heavily infected areas and have been monitored during in the isolation period of 14 days.

According to other news outlets their was a serious outbreak in this province including at a university in the town, remarkable recovery if all cases have vanished.

Yeah!!! One out of 6!!! Winner!!!
Which is cool.  Since March 2020 I believe we've had a total of 2 cases.

In our village if BKK outsiders show up the village welcoming committee quarantines them.  No one is going to slip into the village from a red zone and not draw the attention of half the village.  That's how it works where I live.  And "Ta-Da", we have zero cases.  That's they way it needs to stay.  The travel should not be allowed out of the Red Zones, but it's like the government wants the virus to spread nationwide like they did during Songkran. Its like spread the virus far and wide across Thailand to make the plebs scared enough to get shots.  Because they don't do a da*m thing to contain it.  It just reeks of a money grab imho -

No tests = no cases.

Not a chance either Mae Hong Son (Burmese border) nor Lamphun (proximity to Chiang Mai) do not have cases.

Exactly right.  3rd world countries have played this game with reduced Covid testing for over a year now.  It gives the false impression that everything’s under control.

According the daily figures on the NBT facebook site (which are also available on the Thaiger site), these are the daily figures for the six provinces listed for the past 7 days.

As you can see, Mae Hong Song has gone 42 days without a reported case. As it is on the Myanmar border, I find that hard to believe. And Maha Sarakham has recorded 436 cases since 01-April-2021, but only 457 since records were started as far as I can tell.

So someone has been given the wrong information.
