So cases have leveled off, despite the warnings from the doom mongers yesterday  that it was because of a delay from the weekend.

Phuket Sandbox infections were ‘expected’

PHUKET: Phuket Sandbox tourists testing positive for COVID-19 was expected and the infections will not stop after opening 12 days so far, Phuket Provincial Public Health Office (PPHO) Chief Dr Kusak Kukiattikoon has said.

“The Sandbox tourists who have tested positive include one from UAE, three from Myanmar, one from South Africa, and one from Switzerland. They have been fully vaccinated with various brands, such as Pfizer, Moderna, Sinopharm and others,” Dr Kusak said at a press conference held at the EOC Command Center yesterday (July 12).

“For now, none of the high-risk contacts [associated with the Sandbox infected] have tested positive,” he said.

You have to laugh at the sheer audacity these people have. Expected, yes and so is the removal to quarantine of people near a positive vaccinated person.  This needs to go worldwide in the news.

Perhaps you forgot to add a liberal lashing of sarcasm and failed to direct it at hypocrisy.

The number of people in ICU and on VENTILATORS continues to rise every day:

5 July: 2,199/603

6 July: 2,350/643

7 July: 2,496/676

8 July: 2,564/698

You're in for a long, long wait if you believe cases will ever get to double digits.

Please quote me where I said I believe numbers will get down to double figures. I said that's what needs to happen. I do think it's possible but not the way this mob of morons run things. As it is I would think middle to late next year. Dependant on many things of course such as vaccines keeping up with new and possibly worse variants and someone with brains running the country not the fool that's at the top now.

Sure next week and unfortunately it's coming sooner than later regardless of what you think..  sarcasm dripping from my post.

No they're not, these are "isolation centre beds".No wonder they ran out of hospital beds they changed the description. Is this an admission of failure instead of and admission into a hospital?

Today there are 56 deaths in #Thailand

25 males & 31 females

31 out of 46 who had underlying conditions weren’t vaccinated

Median age is 65 (34-96 years)

Most deaths in Bangkok (30) & Narathiwat (4

25 died in less than 6 days of diagnosis

Why are they doing that? Every day thousands of people get admitted, so the hospitals aren’t full. Are they?

If they were negative before they arrived there, they will likely be positive in a few days. That kind of lining up and crowding just smacks of stupidity.

Below is report. Read more of them and stop the 'not maxed out hospital beds' etc.

The figures are rubbish.

Some Covid infected have been told to stay home and wait for beds to become available for a while now. My niece-in-law and her husband were infected and has just recovered a couple of days ago. While he got a hospital bed after a week, she never did.

The D man is changing his tune.

“As an example, until recently, the number of hospital walk-in admissions was predictive of future near term case numbers.

Now the official numbers are telling us that hospitals are nearing absolutecapacity.”

now he says hospital walk in’s don’t predict future case numbers, and hospitals are nearly full.

of course, he never said those things before anyway 5555.

Because you believe that "accelerated plans" = beds now available.

I have asthma and am a diabetic, have an autoimmune disease and allergies as well. I was still vaccinated with AZ three weeks ago now.  Sounds like a story to me to move away from the topic and go away from the agenda at hand of the S vaccine.

Wonder which politicians cousins own the cardboard factory and electrical goods retailer.

The major rollout of vaccines happened recently so most of the doses are still 1st dose due to the 12 weeks between AZ doses I'd wager.

Yes, we noted that earlier. But also noted that a lot of sinovac has been given and the earliest jabs would now be within the 2nd jab time period.

anyway, the next week or so should see a significant ramp up in 2nd jabs, or something is wrong.

If you think that my opinion has changed, it is a reading comprehension issue on your part.

I am simply saying that the system is so saturated that not so many people can be admitted. Rising numbers of admissions are predictive of future near term case numbers unless hospital admissions are reduced due to capacity issues.  This is happening now, and will be true until and unless more beds are created.

Yeah, I have to write this a few times a day until some people understand. Maybe I should write more slowly.

It’s always pictures of unused facilities with neatly made beds and no trash lying around. Within a week I bet that place looks like a bomb has hit it and stinks to high heaven.
