Popular Post TallGuyJohninBKK
The official new COVID case numbers for Bangkok continue to show improvement, with Monday's 2,134 new case tally the lowest daily figure of the past week and the third consecutive daily decline. The current number is down about 33% from the Bangkok high of 3,191 daily cases on July 10, as the line graph below shows. The growth in new cases that helped spur today's yet another record high new COVID case tally for Thailand of 11,784 are being reported outside of Bangkok and instead in outlying provinces, regardless of whether you believe the BKK official numbers are accurate or not. The official totals for the country are rising rapidly even while the official totals for Bangkok have been declining. If new cases in Bangkok are being undercounted, the national growth and spike in new cases would be even worse! https://www.facebook.com/informationcovid19/photos/a.106455480972785/368286084789722/?type=3 https://www.facebook.com/informationcovid19/photos/a.106455480972785/368285761456421/?type=3 Edited July 19, 2021 by TallGuyJohninBKK 3

Dont confuse me
People have to put food on the table which in many cases means they have to leave the home and invariably mix with others. If the junta is serious about getting the country back to some kind of normality they should forget about going without 3 months salary, they should cancel the orders for two submarines and distribute the money fairly to the needy. After they have gone through those funds then each of them pool a few million from their personal wealth and distribute that. Then get the idiot to resign, that will install some confidence in the public.

Hard to argue against third shots for non-medics, if China admits it is necessary. Too bad for Sinovac's export customers but they have made a killing anyway, selling the junk for 3 times AZ, and so have a lot of other people. Fosun has a licence from BioNTech to distribute only in China (including HK and Taiwan), so no chance for Thailand to get any and it doesn't agree with sharing locally produced vaccines anyway. You're main hassle is getting a flight in (business or first class best option to not get bumped) but once here and vaccinated you can just rock up to the airport for your flight out, plenty seats on the way out. A little off topic but these figures are very misleading. They have been greatly inflated by the Australia - New Zealand travel bubble (which has been closed or is being closed for the two major states as they are back in lockdown). Just because these terms arne't commonly used in relation to "safety, immunogenicity and protective efficacy" doesn't mean that those concerns aren't addressed by virologists and epidemiologists. Science and semantics aren't the same thing.
