Twelve migrant workers from Myanmar have tested positive for Covid-19 and another eight are awaiting test results after a full bus was stopped in the night at the weekend heading for the border checkpoint of Singkhon in Prachuap Khiri Khan province.

A total of 42 Myanmar people were on the Nakhon Chai Air double decker bus.

Other passengers have had to be quarantined and were unable to be housed at border facilities.

The staff of the bus comany and passengers have been charged with breaking the 9pm to 4 am curfew.

The bus was seized as part of evidence in the case, reported Sanook on Sunday.
