If this doesn't bring up red flag, than I don't know what doesn't. I don’t know any international school teachers making 112,000 Baht per month. They normally make 60,000 to 80,000 Baht per month. There are many persons in Thailand with that amount. Nothing to lift any eye brows over. Just let the guy be. Public Servants are a bit different than private citizens. Access to public money, unchecked power, opportunities for corruption, nepotism and other irregularities are reason for disclosure and verification. There is but one Chief of the RTP and he supposedly works for the people who seemingly, are entitled to that information by Thai Law. 8

Popular Post khunpa
LOL! And the funny (sad) thing is that nothing will even be done about it. In any normal country, you would be totally fxxked declaring this kind of wealth on a basic salary. Let me guess… Invested in Bitcoin early and the watches are gifts. Popular Post 55Jay
It's how the system works. Government pays cops a pittance, so they rely on graft and roadside donations to make up the difference. Proceeds filter up through the Pyramid scheme to the higher ups overseeing more cops = nice cut. Overweight Thai guy in my moo baan, probably late 20s, son of a cop killed in the line of duty years ago, was able to buy a job on the RTP and made it through the training "academy", I presume. He used to drive a new Mitsu SUV, but a few nights ago, pulled up in a used but very cherry, tricked out BMW. Not bad for a cop with about 2 years on the job. Popular Post Anythingleft?
As mentioned, no point printing these stories without any follow up actions. Just goes to fan the flames of the immorality and the great divide in the country, maybe that's the reason to print it I don't know. Either way it shows how drastically a shake up is needed and overdue for a country that spouts democracy, fairness and equality. This just smacks of the everyday typical Thainess....

Isaan sailor
Par for that course—a current and several former US Presidents are/were lifelong politicians, and now they and their families enjoy multi-million dollar lifestyles. Silly me, I had to work many years in America—just to retire in Thailand.
