   Jesus wept.  All this effort for a measly 150,000 vaccines???  Pity the same effort is not being spent on ordering millions of vaccines from other sources.  Spend the effort on faster processing of paperwork and get the orders finally actually ordered.  Spend the effort on changing the asinine policies and allow the hospitals to go get their own vaccines.

This whole embarrassing thing is just not about " borrowing " vaccines from one of the poorest Countries in the World.

Thailand is the 21 st richest Nation on the Planet.

How could a Nation such as this be getting into these situations so easily. Is the incompetence really that bad.

The 64 K Dollar question has to be how well the rest of the Government is performing, and looking after the financial interests of the Nation in other matters of state..

Episodes such as this surely bring the credibility of the entire Government into focus, not least among Investors.

At the moment, the agreement is being reviewed and considered by the government. 

 

So Bhutan are offering Thailand vaccine doses on the basis that they are given back at a later date. So why are the Thai government dragging thier feet on what is a pretty simple agreement.

I've been thinking exactly the same. The government's total failure is remarkable, isn't it. But Thailand doesn't have to worry about an invasion. No-one is interested in a SE Asian backwater that has few natural resources other than shrimp and prostitutes.

And if Bhutan says no, then I guess they'll just have to call up the boss in Beijing and beg him to send some more Sinovac. Who would have thought that Thailand would end up so friendless in the world, but with a government like this one it's not really surprising.

So Australia was able to buy one million doses of Pfizer vaccine from Poland, how far are you searching Mr Health minister to get urgent supplies for Thailand? Borrowing 150,000 doses of AZ from Bhutan is a drop in the bucket
