Thailand's government won't send back any vaccines in the future, but will claim that a rich country (Bhutan) did donate the vaccines...

You still sore about the wife's brother not paying back that loan.....????

Prayut and Anutin must step down as failed ministers, any other person performing their duties in this manner would have been sacked for gross misconduct.

Who sacks the boss? And those who overthrow a democratically elected government do not step down. Ever. No matter what. And by manipulating and re-writing the constitution they have ensured they are there for life.

At the moment, the agreement is being reviewed and considered by the government.

So Bhutan are offering Thailand vaccine doses on the basis that they are given back at a later date. So why are the Thai government dragging thier feet on what is a pretty simple agreement.

This whole embarrassing thing is just not about " borrowing " vaccines from one of the poorest Countries in the World.

Thailand is the 21 st richest Nation on the Planet.

How could a Nation such as this be getting into these situations so easily. Is the incompetence really that bad.

The 64 K Dollar question has to be how well the rest of the Government is performing, and looking after the financial interests of the Nation in other matters of state..

Episodes such as this surely bring the credibility of the entire Government into focus, not least among Investors.

How well is the rest of the Government performing seems a good question.  I have to wonder about what is going on here:

The govt's complete failure here makes a mockery of the background of all of them, senior military men.

Logistics should be second nature, can you imagine how they would fare in a real war (not against their own people as like Myanmar they have the guns)!

Laos could probably overcome them in a couple of days.

I've been thinking exactly the same. The government's total failure is remarkable, isn't it. But Thailand doesn't have to worry about an invasion. No-one is interested in a SE Asian backwater that has few natural resources other than shrimp and prostitutes.

And if Bhutan says no, then I guess they'll just have to call up the boss in Beijing and beg him to send some more Sinovac. Who would have thought that Thailand would end up so friendless in the world, but with a government like this one it's not really surprising.

Because they have to pay back double?
