Thai opposition seeks to trim government spending substantially at budget bill debate

Opposition parties are seeking to slash the government’s 3.1 trillion baht spending in the 2022 fiscal year, by 100-300 billion baht, on the first day of the three-day budget bill debate in the bill’s second and final readings in parliament today.

 

Before the start of the debate, House Speaker Chuan Leekpai informed all MPs about the Supreme Court’s ruling suspending Thanikarn Pornpongsarote, a Palang Pracharat MP for Bangkok, from performing her duties in parliament.

 

The court found the National Anti-Corruption Commission allegation, that Thanikarn had breached rules of ethical conduct for MPs, by inserting the ID card of a fellow MP on his behalf at a House meeting, has valid grounds. She was suspended until there is a ruling from the court.

MP is suspended for clocking a colleague in. It starts at the top and finds its way down

This signing in of a non present MP is so similar that using cards of an other the Thaksin mob did it while voting on things with cards of MP's that were not present. It was condemned by all (except of course the PTP but there was video evidence). Now this mob does the same. Shows how similar they are and how they only attack others for doing wrong and never their own side. Just so scary only confirms more that Thaksinites and the current mob are just two sides of a coin so similar with the only difference where the money goes. Sickening that is what Thai politicians are. 

 

It also amazes me that she got punished as she was in the ruling party. That is the only bright thing that some punishment happened. 

 

There is a lot of money to be saved by cutting down on the army. But that of course will never happen as long as the army is in power. Generals need their toys, actually they don't need the toys they need the kickbacks.

Their salaries are just a fraction of the money they rake in.

She not punished yet merely suspended from parliamentary duties whilst waiting for the courts verdict.

Lets hope she got punished. I am not sure what happend to the PTP guys who voted with others cards (even worse). But i mentioned this only because of the similarities and hypocrisy. I mean the now goverment supported cried murder when the PTP did it and now the other side cries murder. But in reality they are not better at all. Just the same just different pockets that are lined.

 

There are so many things you can see that this government and the PTP do the same mainly the lying and covering up and expecting us to believe it all. Its just so sad.
