The announcement issued yesterday (Aug 27).

By The Phuket News

PHUKET: Expats in Phuket who have not yet received a COVID-19 vaccination have been invited to register to be vaccinated by either AstraZeneca, Sinovac or Pfizer.

The announcement came yesterday (Aug 27), not by Phuket officials, but instead via Bangkok Hospital Phuket.

The hospital announcement explained that the vaccinations were to be provided in association with the Thai Department of Disease Control, and that the vaccinations would be free of charge.

Up until very recently Pfizer was not available in Phuket.  Probably explains the headline.

Sometimes.  Some of the very earliest people vaccinated in Phuket received Sinovac.  Then many were getting AstraZeneca (sometimes waiting as long as 12 weeks between jabs).  Now it's possible to get Pfizer if you have not been vaccinated yet.  You probably have to balance being fully vaccinated with getting a more efficacious vaccine.  Anyway, it's good to see more choices and more supply out there.

Give us a break! How much longer is Plague Island going to suck in vaccines?
