Man Killed in Sattahip After Being Run Over by Car on Dark Road
At approximately 01:50, on November 27, Lieutenant Pongpisut Mahasetthavorakul, Deputy Inspector of Sattahip Police Station, received a report of a fatal accident involving a pedestrian and a car on Route 332 near the Kasemphon intersection, close to the Khao Chi Chan railway station in Bang Saray, Sattahip District, Chonburi. Emergency services, including the Klaeng Kaeo Subdistrict Municipality disaster prevention team and the Sawang Rojanathammasathan Rescue Foundation, were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, authorities discovered the body of an unidentified man lying in the middle of the road. The deceased suffered multiple severe injuries, including a fractured left leg, a large abdominal wound, and a fractured skull. Blood was pooled on the road. No identification documents were found on his person. Nearby, officers found a white Toyota Cross with license plate from Rayong, driven by Ms. Yaowaluk Sriwankaew, 35. She remained at the scene to await police. Ms. Yaowaluk stated that she was driving toward the Kasemphon intersection when the collision occurred. The road was extremely dark due to non-functioning streetlights. A pickup truck was driving ahead of her and suddenly swerved to avoid something. Unable to react in time, she ran over the body lying in the road. Shocked and unable to see clearly, she remained in her car and immediately called rescue services and her relatives. Police are investigating the cause of the accident. They plan to question Ms. Yaowaluk further and review CCTV footage to determine whether the man was already lying on the road or had been struck by another vehicle beforehand. The victim's body has been sent to Sattahip Hospital for an autopsy. Authorities are also working to identify the deceased and notify his family. Picture from responders. -- 2024-11-28 -

British Man Collides With Pedestrian in Pattaya Big Bike Crash
Perhaps he looked at the drunk pedestrian and, quite reasonably, decided that making a statement wasn't worth his time as he'd never be able to recoup anything from Mr Surat? That would probably be my approach in similar circumstances. -

Given we don't know who Charles Mason is that's surprising. When they said he made good choices perhaps they thought the poll was referring to Lora Croft the porn actress. -

What Is the Best Way to Fly?
By far the best noise canceling earplugs are good old Mack's from the states. They've been making them for over 50 years. They look like regular foam earplugs, but they can filter noise by 33 dB, which is the most noise filtering you can get in a set of earplugs, plus you hardly feel them in your ears. Airplane engine and air conditioning noise combined is normally around 70 dB. So these earplugs cut the sound down by about 50%. I recently got some on Lazada. 5 pairs for 130 Baht.
