Have the times changed when one can legally purchase alcohol?I was refused a little after 7pm last night in a 7-11 with the explanation 'now stop 1 o'clock'..

 

Not that I'm aware of, unless there's some local ruling come in (where are you?).

 

IIRC it's 11AM-2PM and 5PM to midnight (or curfew).

7-11 in Rayong near one of my suppliers won't sell after 2.00pm.

Yep, we are near Phala Beech, 1100 to 1400 only.

If you are in a deep red zone that is indeed correct , 11am to 2pm only.

I remember that before the emergency decree 7-11 didn't care much about times. They are discussing to remove the decree after this month. Let's see what will be the case then

Not in Pattaya. Before the emergency decree 7-11 sold alcohol 24 hours. Legally this was not correct. But for whatever reason nobody cared.

Normal restrictions apply can buy between 11.00am and 2.00 pm.

Nothing was blocked and it was normal shopping. Nothing hidden. All the 7-11 I can remember did the same at least here in Pattaya. They ignored the law and nobody cared. It went on like this very long. When the emergency decree came because of Covid they stopped. But it was not the same in supermarkets like Big C, Tops. There they obeyed. I don't know if it is still like this. But if you bought a certain quantity of alcoholic drinks it wasn't blocked. Should allow businesses to do their shopping.

Quite possible..................................... hands up from me though if I am wrong - in Bang Saray we have no such restriction as far as I am aware.
