Kids Being Vaccinated with Not Yet Approved (<18 Years Old) Sinopharm

Featured Replies

Sinopharm has not yet been approved by the Thailand FDA for use in this age group.

Interestingly 3 days ago Moderna was approved for this age group, but no mention of Sinopharm......https://thainews.prd.go.th/en/news/detail/TCATG210917125425150

......even though Thailand’s Chulabhorn Royal Academy were talking about it on 6th August 2021. https://thainews.prd.go.th/en/news/detail/TCATG210806141828272

2000 kids were vaccinated with the unapproved drug today. (Story in the Bangkok Post, no links allowed)  The student vaccination program was/is supposed to start on 4th October 2021.

I'm guessing someones getting impatient.

As expected.   Cheaper and in greater supply.

The ministry of public health said students 12-18 year will be given 2 Pfizer shots starting October 3 or 4. So, what is this news about kids have been given Sinopharm vaccine? Does the government backtrack on their promise?

That's a given.

So, yet another example of the Thai government using citizens as lab rats. Despicable exploitation of the population.

I'd be very interested to know just what vaccine is being given to all the politicians' children and what vaccine those making the medical decisions for thousands are giving to their kids?

No doubt some sort of sweetener for 4000 parents (2000 kids x mum and dad) to not bother waiting till October 4th for a better vaccine for their child. Thais do love to gamble. Perhaps the school fees will be "Adjusted"......

I think they were probably on those vaccine tours or the rumoured black market stuff. A large number no doubt were freely vaccinated by western countries health depts on landing on their way to their boarding schools.

I talked to wife and her kids. No1 is taking any damn vaccines for sure. We had thus diskussion months ago

My wife just got a SMS text today from his international school saying our 14 y/o son is allowed to get the Pfizer vax, she added his name to the list and we will see what's next.

The 2nd dose of Pfizer for males of this age group needs to be seriously considered especially as the 1st dose already gives 97% protection.

Thai FDA ".........resolved not to reduce the minimum age of Sinopharm vaccine recipients to 3 years old as proposed because there was not enough information about the safety of the vaccine administration and the company did not submit any data on the efficacy of the vaccine among recipients aged 3-17 years....."

Please give us the source of your claim "the Pfizer 1st dose already gives 97% protection"! Because this is not true, that's why I ask. I am sure that you misinterpret some figures you might have seen somewhere. Look at this July 2021 report from Forbes:

I appreciate your link but it is a bit irrelevent as what is in discussion is the kids age group namely 12-17 years old. The numbers are not the same as adults. These links are for the UK. They are dated more recently.
