The news comes as the number of severe COVID-19 cases and those requiring ventilators has fallen in the past three weeks, but small clusters of infections have increased in upcountry provinces, as a result of social gatherings, such as funerals, parties and merit-making ceremonies. Popular Post ThailandRyan
So the biggest question we have now is "Is this a slow climb back up". I say that with seeing the past few days numbers. Of course again that's my view. Adding in the ATK tests shows we are still above the 15k case mark and then we are still averaging 100+ deaths a day. Have we reached a valley already and because of the reduction in restrictions is this the result, or is this uptick based upon the numbers in the outer provinces climbing slowly. I guess I will need to wait and see what the provincial numbers bring when and if they are released. There has to be a new trend starting somewhere, or are there new clusters being found. This is the new normal and what we need to learn to live with however at this point in the game. Nothing except time will reduce numbers and then maybe not ever, much like the annual flu seasons from the past. So it appears that we will always have a Covid season. Lets wait to see what the long term studies show as far as the need for boosters. The US FDA just today approved the Pfizer vaccine for a booster in those over 65 and with medical conditions which falls in line with the annual Flu vaccinations given as well. Can we in the future look forward to having an annual Covid Booster, Flu vaccination and a Pneumococcal vaccination as well as our every 5 year tetanus, well only time will tell. Headed out soon to take the GF to obtain her first vaccination. Take care folks, stay safe and as always protect your families and loved ones by using your due diligence. Popular Post buick
we are now below 150 on the 7 day avg for the daily death number. last time that number was below 150 was August 2nd. the high was just above 250 so we've come a long way down (40% decline). it would be great to see some sub 100 numbers coming in soon. we will be dealing with this virus for quite some time but as long as the death numbers remain relatively low (say sub 50), hospitals have capacity, and people continue to get vaccines, we can start to have a semi normal life again. i'm not ready to charge into a packed bar and spend 5 hours in there drinking beer, eating food and watching sports. but i will be ready to enjoy food and beer at an outdoor venue once the beer ban has ended.

Is there somewhere else who could benefit from them right now that they should have gone to? However, it is very nice and awesome that these were donated by a benevolent organization such as UNICEF who I have supported for decades.

How many are vaccinated, with 3 weeks until the 15th one wonders how they will as the article states: The province, in the meantime, will speed up the delivery of jabs to ensure 70 per cent of the population is inoculated to create herd immunity. Agencies will also implement measures related to public health, logistics, Covid-19 screen and community participation and will also make preparations for emergencies.
