LOEI, 1 October 2021 (NNT) - Phu Kradueng, a popular tourist destination in Loei province, reopened to visitors on Friday after having been closed for a long period due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The first group comprised some 500 people.

A ceremony to relaunch tourism and overnight accommodations on Phu Kradueng took place early this morning (Oct. 1) at the tourist service center of Phu Kradueng National Park, in Si Than subdistrict of Phu Kradueng district, Loei province. Chaithawat Niamsiri, the governor of Loei, presided over the reopening ceremony, which came after months of the park’s closure due to COVID-19. The governor said at the ceremony that provincial and park officials will remain mindful of public health safety after reopening.

Tourists who want to enter Phu Kradueng National Park must abide by New Normal tourism rules, such as registering 15 days in advance through the QueQ application or via a registration form supplied by national park authorities. Arrivals and departures at the park must be logged onto the Thai Chana platform. Each visitor must meet the COVID-19 vaccine requirements, such as having received one dose of the AstraZeneca shot 14 days or more prior to arrival, two doses of the Sinovac shot, cross-vaccination using Sinovac and Astrazeneca shots or any other inoculation models sanctioned by the Ministry of Public Health. Each visitor must also present a COVID-19 test result from an antigen test kit or RT-PCR test that is no older than 72 hours (3 days).

The national park is capping the number of tourists to about 1,000 persons per day. Visitors must wear a face mask at all times while inside the park, observe social distancing, and refrain from gathering in groups of more than five people.

Tourists who visited Phu Kradueng on Friday made up the first arrivals since the latest round of the park’s closure due to COVID-19. For this occasion, each visitor was presented with a souvenir shirt from the Tourism Authority of Thailand.

Provincial authorities expect the number of visitors to keep rising as the cold season approaches and the high season draws near.

Well that will exclude the majority of foreign tourists , also where is the info on the multi tiered admission charges that have recently been sanctioned by an Administrative Court in Phetchaburi ?

Entrance fees are 400 Baht for foreigners (200 Baht for children) and 40 Baht for thai citizens (20 Baht for children). Cars charged 30 Baht, bikes 20 Baht.

The first group comprised some 500 people.

They probably were all Government freeloaders.

They don't learn.

I don't live too far away but absolute no under these conditions.

Haven't visited a dual rip off price location since years.

Who do they think we are?

Great news. Would no doubt do some of these moaners on this site a power of good, 6 hours hike up a mountain????

Even those fully vaccinated must present a recent PCR or ATK result?  For an OUTDOOR park?  Doesn't this seem a bit excessive!?

Completely excessive, bureaucratic requirements. It doesn't matter to me anyway, because I generally don't visit parks that operate the double price system.

It's ten times the price for long noses. Disgusting pricing policy.

Then again shoving some off  the top would also be good

"Tourists who want to enter Phu Kradueng National Park must abide by New Normal tourism rules,"

new enhanced and approved dual pricing......

Some farang people I know agree with the tiered admission charges saying that the Thai folks only earn a fraction of what a farang earns and the Thais have paid taxes by way of either earnings or purchases over many years and farangs have paid little or nothing  and it was wrong for farangs to get the same charges as the local Thais . So I said if that is the case why are the farangs charged the same price for general purchases e.g. motor fuel or 7-11 buys ?   Basically it is racial discrimination that is a crime in most democratic countries . Near where I live is a swimming pool that advertises Thai prices and finally farang prices , on a large billboard . For me , I pay the normal Thai price or nothing . They lose out because had I paid the same entry fee as a Thai and was allowed in , I would have spent quite a bit on refreshments / restaurants and mementos etc . But the Thais are so short sighted they cannot look more than 5 minutes into the future . Finally all embassies should be informing their citizens of the Thai culture of charging foreign tourists a highly inflated price for either goods rendered , or entrance to an attraction and also hospital fees etc

Everything in the country is not always about farangs. This is a tourist trip, mainly taken by Thais.
