And how do you contract covid19 when gambling? The viruses drop down on the spinning roulette and spread like a tornado?

In the USA, casinos in general opened pretty quickly and are now very open. Go to turning stone in upstate New York, the place is packed. Poker room is full.  People sitting elbow to elbow.  no enforcement of anything.  Just signs saying unvaccinated must wear masks, vaccinated to not.  But no checks are made at all.

As for the drinking ban. That is so obsecen and irrational it is almost insulting.  Thais gather for eating all the time. Gosh Tree town in Pattaya is a packed crowded gathering place.  Drinking booze or not would make no difference on transmitting or catching the virus.  The percentage of Thais vaccinated has barely climbed above 30% the last time I looked at the statistics.  I don't see that doubling in the next few weeks as the other somewhat relaxed sandboxes open.

Ironic, when you consider who was at the Thonglor party that started all this.

Less ironic than it it is hypocritical

Did I miss something ? As, to the best of my knowledge, gambling has been illegal, hence, forbidden for decades ( not sure if ever allowed ) …so why the mention ?

And soon.... every session at a massage shop, is it a foot massage, shoulder head massage, thai massage etc.

Each session must be streamed live to government head office to see, if there is no special intervention in place.

This is ridiculous! If you want tourism to come back to normal with tourists coming here again you need to start opening the restaurants at least. Drinking in restaurants can at least be controlled.

Rules do not need to make sense. It’s 9 parts out of 10 an exercise in obedience, 1/10 a pandemic. People have had too much freedoms in recent decades that need to be curtailed. This is precisely what is happening now.

Everything Prayut says and does serves one purpose, defending the edifice that put him there to do just that, and at the moment that means trying to kill the daily protests. COVID is only important in that it increases popular dissatisfaction.

Have you ever thought of working in government

Through his spokesman at Government House Thanakorn Wangbunkhongchana as reported by Daily News, Prayuth said:

No parties

No drinking

No gambling

I am more than willing to obey this ruling, IF I can be sure that it is applied fairly and equally across the Thai population from the lowest of the low to the highest of the high.

That would mean EVERY officers, SNCOs and other ranks in the military, police, civil service messes and HiSo house in the entire country with NO exceptions at all.

Otherwise it is just more mealy mouth meaningless drivel which many people see and hear every day, and ignore.

The 'Herd'  covid and vaccine programme has a totally different meaning in Thailand!!!!????????????????

Obviously not seen the photos of Bangla Road in Phuket where the place is heaving with hookers, MMA and Crypto types.

The beach was heaving with people along many kilometres with cars double and triple parked and horrendous traffic.

The people have had just about enough of Prayuts madness.... business as usual.

It's a high-risk activity as it is generally done secretly in enclosed spaces with no social distancing.

Like something else I do nightly.
