What does 20 years of work in a big international city buy the common man?

 

The take away is RE for a Bangkok Thai professional making serious money is as expensive or more so than in all the most expensive cities in the world.

 

For everyone else even a modest 3M THB condo is out if reach. Enter spouses, family gifts, large down payments, black money.

 

What's more, the buildings as we all know are substandard.

Where is Bangkok on the scale....seems like you're missing some data for your conclusion
