Health officials have been trying to wrap up the analysis of what is believed to be Thailand’s first known case of severe side effects, involving a 12-year-old Thai girl, who was inoculated with the Pfizer mRNA vaccine. The case will be submitted to a panel of medical specialists.

Director of the Division of Epidemiology at the Disease Control Department Dr. Chakkarat Pittayawonganon, assured the public that the Pfizer vaccine is safe and only a handful of cases of side effects have been reported, out of over two million students, aged 12-18, who have received the vaccine.

He said that the girl in question, who lives in Ratchaburi province, developed a cough, fatigue and chest pain six days after she was given a Pfizer jab.

As usual, an attention grabbing headline that ignores 95% of  the real story.

There's never a real story that most will accept nor be comfortable with.

Conditioned in this manner.

The OP leaves out an important piece of the original article;

"After a thorough examination, the institute said that the girl was physically under-developed and much smaller than other girls of her age, has a Kyphosis and an abnormal body structure, which may have an impact on her lung function."

Then why give her vaccine????

OR, Why did the parents allow her to get the vaccine?  My son got vaccinated and they didn't force him, we the parents had to agree to it.

The parents knew her preexisting condition, maybe they asked a doctor beforehand about getting her vax'd and maybe they didn't (we don't know from the article), but I would think someone with a preexisting condition like hers would better off getting the vaccine instead of catching the full effects of a covid infection.

You are blaming this on parents? How about inept Thai healthcare workers who call themselves doctors?

Is there any proof she would even get sick of covid, yet she did die of vaccine.

Cue 50 posters calling me anti vaxer now

From the videos I've seen on Thai TV/etc it does appear that the health workers aspirate before injecting, to check that they're not inadvertently injecting it direct to a vein.

Injecting IV is thought to be one of the main causes of severe adverse reactions and/or deaths from the vax.

I can see what appears to be, amongst responses to this story by the nay-sayers and conspiracy prone sectors of the expat community members of Aseannow.

Anybody paranoid-ally and cynically likewise fixated on the nefarious impacts of the polio vaccinations worldwide some 50 to 60 odd years ago. The short and plain to Martha answer there is no. See may polio victims in leg braces or wheelchairs these days do we?????

That wouldn't make attention grabbing headlines, and unfortunately many only read headlines and therefore assume the death was the direct result of the vaccine - about time the news media were held responsible for false reporting.

Other coworkers and I felt fatigue after the first 2 shots of Pfizer vaccine and others also felt a lot of arm pain.  After some of my coworkers and I got the Pfizer booster, a few days later extreme fatigue set in and I actually was falling asleep at my desk.  3 of us experienced lower back and hip / pelvic area pain as well.  So it is not without flaws.

A post and reply with misinformation have been removed.
