METV 2021

Hi!

 

Has anyone obtained an METV recently? How long did it take to issue after you submitted the application?

 

I’m applying through Danish consulate

I got one at the Thai Embassy in Denmark in October. As far as I remember it took less than a week to get.

No

The were just not available due to covid. Some embassies are issuing them now,

Are they available in Los Angeles now? Are the requirements same for Thailand Pass? So it would be a Thailand Pass METV?

Am I getting confused?

2 separate things. 

METV is a visa option.

TP is required to enter Thailand.

BTW don't think METV currently available in LA

So now the visa to get would be the STV through Thailand pass?

METV and STV are very different animals. If both are available where you live check the terms of both carefully before you apply for either.

It does appear on their website

What did you attach at points #4 and #9? (see screenshot) Is passport enough to attach there? I am Lithuanian but applying through Danish embassy, since this is where I have to apply through.

As far as I remember, a copy of my passport-ID. They already got that earlier but that is proof of residency.

I usually do three months twice a year (not calendar year). Though I am a bit apprehensive about that long of a time at the moment.

Thank you. Will check availability of METV when I see if Thailand opening up causes another outbreak and lockdown. I don't want to get stuck in LOS.

For 3 months a METV and STV not best option.

Best off with a SETV and 30 day extension. 60+30.

You could even consider visa exempt entry.

Agreed SETV + 30 day extension would appear to be the best option.

 

Visa exempt entry would only allow 30+30 days, though.

Its bit of a risk. However some/many think that covid extensions will be extended perhaps even until some land borders open. Certainly the current covid dead line will be extended. You would assume till late January.

The 30+30 followed by covid extension does involve bit of gamble.
