Do the extensions run from date of application or expiry of present extension in December  please?

 

My boy plans to go Eu in Februari  and 60 day extension may just work.

 

What reason needed, high level in Germany or just put Covid ?

As of now they are ending November 27th 2021. That's the last date that you can apply for a COVID extension unless they decide to extend it. Has nothing to do with Germany. No idea what you're talking about with your boy and February either. The expiry of your permission to stay date is how long you can stay. If the COVID extensions are ended on November 27th but your permission to stay says December 27th, then you can stay until December 27th. Did the best I could to make sense of your confusingly worded question.

Only had over a year to sort out the correct visa, consider yourself lucky

If his last extension was also a covid extension, then the new extension will start on the day the last extension ends.

Currently the last day to apply is the 26th November. They might of course decide to extend it a few days before, same as they did the last 6 times or so.
