▶︎ Recoveries: 7,191

▶︎ Total recoveries since since April 1: 1,898,217

Wednesday’s cases bring the total number of COVID-19 infections in Thailand to 2,037,224 with 20,199 deaths.

The news comes as sSeveral parents have complained about the costs of weekly antigen COVID-19 tests required by many private schools, even though it is not a requirement by the Education Ministry.

The ministry has clarified that it does not require students to be subject to antigen tests for COVID-19 on a weekly basis, and that such tests are required only when there are infections at school or nearby communities, following many parents’ demand to the ministry to cover the expenses for the antigen test kits (ATKs).

The CCSA has refused TAT’s request to change PCR testing on arrival to the quicker and cheaper ATK testing. Meanwhile, Cambodia has now dropped quarantine and PCR testing for vaccinated arrivals making it more attractive to international holidaymakers

What do you expect from Thailand, no money to be made with ATK unlike PCR and one night in hotel. They view the ATK sufficient for Thai population but not foreigners. TIT
