Popular Post snoop1130
AP Photo/David Goldman, File Senior Thai officials are mulling incentives to encourage about 11 million as yet unvaccinated Thais to get inoculated against COVID-19 this month. The measures, which include a ban on people who have not been vaccinated from entering public places, are to be submitted to the Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) for approval. Government Spokesman Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana said today (Friday) that Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has instructed the Ministry of Public Health to speed up the vaccination campaign, to achieve the target of 100 million doses of vaccines being administered by the end of this month, after it was discovered that there are still 11 million of Thailand’s population of 70 million who are yet to receive their first vaccine dose. Popular Post patman30
are they not supposed to start with free donuts yeh threat of exclusion from society is a great incentive for people to choose to get jabbed thats clearly not coercion but a choice they will make of their own free will????♂️ 17
Popular Post mikebike
Lottery. Thais love the lottery... Do like one of the States in the USA did and give everyone who gets jabbed a chance to win a million baht. 22 1 3

Popular Post Gold Star
Ahhh, another bite of unexpected consequences of choosing Sinovac as the main vaccine, that so many have refused in the first place. Enough time has now passed for people to see that it is the least effective against delta, and learn they can live without it. Unfortunately, they carry that belief forward to not want to get the other vaccines that actually work to stop infections in the first place. Once their mind is made up, it is tough to change after the fact. Even once they run out of Sinovac and finally start to offer others as the first jab, it will be hard to bring people forward. This does not bode well for the overall acceptance of getting the boosters we will no doubt require soon. 5 1 4

I'll tell you the same as I said to johng, I ain't scared of her, but she knows how the family feel, she's old (well over 70) diabetic, overweight, she's a prime candidate. So, more for her wellbeing than ours, and if it means her only daughter don't visit sobeit, Edited November 19, 2021 by Golden Triangle Extra info 4 1 4

Popular Post CygnusX1
Seriously, why not 20,000 baht to every Thai citizen who’s fully vaccinated? Can anyone see any problems with that? The Thai Govt could fund it just by printing money, might drop the value of the baht slightly, which mightn’t be a bad thing. 5

As an anti-vaxxer, you are aware that the unvaccinated may infect the vaccinated, although such infections are rare. So, it would be reasonable to protect oneself against an unvaccinated family member. 6 4 1 1

If you are vaxxed, the worry is not getting infected because you know that the risk of dying from a breakthrough infection is very low. However, being vaxxed you will be going out more. Doing more normal things. With this comes the risk of getting infected. Do you want to risk infecting your unvaxxed MIL who is over 8x more likely to catch it if you are infected? Can you live with it on your conscience if you caused her death? 2 1

Popular Post Jingthing
I think incentives can be helpful along with negative consequences for being stubborn. But it's kind of unfair to give a reward to the stragglers and not to those that stepped up to do the right thing because it was the right thing. We are in Khon Kaen,. We actually have to travel to Bangkok (Dec3 appointment ) to get out booster shots because we got vaccinated outside in the US before we came here, and there us no Moderna or Pfizer to be had in Khon Kaen. .Not a big deal , we wanted to take a trip anyway, But not everyone can.
