A total of 70 foreign tourists have visited Hua Hin since its reopening on Nov 1, Dr. Wara Salwattanakul, Prachuap Khiri Khan Provincial Public Health Doctor revealed on Wednesday (Nov 24).

Of those, two have tested positive for COVID-19, Dr. Wara said.

The two patients, who are Danish nationals, are currently being treated at Bangkok Hospital Hua Hin. They are first foreign tourists to test positive since the reopening.

LOL, less than 3 tourists coming a day to support the hotels , businesses and people ! Well done Prayut, your continual support of the destruction of your own tourism industry appears to have no bounds.

So the idea of opening a Casino in Hua Hin to lure in the international gamblers might need a re-think..

Or are there certain local beneficiaries if one is opened, and has nothing to do with tourists?

Silver lining says the covid hospitalization costs will increase the average spend of tourist in Hua Hin. Spin that.

How would they count the 70 tourists visting Hua Hin? I doubt they have checkpoints set up on the roads to do that. What they probably mean is that 70 foreign tourists arrived at Hua Hin airport via international flight. But that is a tiny minority of the visitors to Hua Hin who usually fly into say BKK and then visit Hua Hin by for example car. Very misleading article.

2 out of 70 is 2.86 percent, which is way too high, but the total number is probably too low to draw any conclusions...????

Please help me.

1.  Is it possible to drive from BKK  to Hua Hin in a public bus, minibus or van without any restrictions?

2.  Can I book a hotel or a guesthouse which is not registered under SHA or SHA+? (As every year, we plan to leave the smoky season here in the North and stay in a nice guesthouse near Thakiaep.)

Thank you in advance.

No problem, although you may need some evidence of vaccination for your Hotel.
