Century Pacific is a major player in the country's food sector, offering a range of products such as canned tuna, sardines, and dairy. Marcos emphasized that the government is actively engaging with suppliers to ensure continuous availability of essential goods. Trade Secretary Cristina Roque noted that inspections in grocery stores and manufacturing plants indicated that food supplies are sufficient for approximately 30 days. Daily monitoring continues nationwide, and no instances of hoarding or profiteering have been reported. Manufacturers have committed to keeping prices steady for at least one month, with some extending the freeze to 60 days. Century Pacific CEO Ted Po confirmed that the company's operations are strong, with adequate production and distribution capabilities to support national demand. “Our factories are running, our inventories are healthy, and our distribution network continues to supply retailers nationwide,” Po asserted. President Marcos reiterated that there is no necessity for hoarding and affirmed ongoing collaboration with industry partners to maintain steady supply and pricing of essential commodities, reported Philstar.
