Just watched Panic Room, again, with Jodi Foster and Kristen Stewart ????. I'd forgotten how good it was.

On the subject of watching movies again, last night I watched the original "Blade Runner" with Harrison Ford and Rutger Hauer, only this one was the extended cut, whatever that meant, however I enjoyed it and what was most poignant to me was the ending, just the last few minutes of it, and I wondered how that applied to people like me who were getting towards the end of their time on this planet??

Top new American  cop show from The Wire team called 'We own this City'

Also worth checking out 61st Street another cop show.

Slow Horses- A quirky series about an underdog MI5 outfit featuring a foul mouthed, flatulent Gary Oldman and his team of misfits.

Yeah, it was good - quite similar to other Israeli dramas, a little like hit & run, first series was a tiny bit like deep state - espionage, secret service, etc. I dont really watch much of Apple TV+, but I think it's one of their best rated series.

El Marginal is back on Netflix today - I quite like that one although they have been progressively polished since the first series.

Breeders is back next week - A UK comedy on US channel - FX. I enjoyed the first two series,

"The amazing story of Zelensky, President of Ukraine"

BBC Documentary - TVChaos.

Zelensky was a well known famous on Ukraine Tv.

He was a comedian that became a star with his portrayal of a fictional President in TV soap that about Ukraine politics.

His reforms as the fictional President went down so well with the general public that when he put himself up as a candidate for actual President (which every one thought was a joke to boost his TV show ratings) he actually won and became the real president of Ukraine.

As the real President he tried to implement the reforms that he had promised  in his TV show, it's what the people had voted him in for, but trying to stop the corruption and abuse of power of the wealthy oligarch, was not working and his popularity was going down hill fast.

Then came the war and the rest is or will be history.

What a man. Talk about the man and the hour.

Thanks again for the heads up on that one. An ending that I didn't expected and a bit emotional too that a lot of movies and series seem to lack.

It reminded me to watch the following documentary and ties in with the 'Official Secrets' movie.

And then I was led to watch this one again.

No doubt needed documentaries but most people know what happened if they aren't brainwashed. Still, leaders and those in government never get punished. You can kill your neighbor and go to jail for life; a leader of a country can kill millions and enjoy a privileged retirement. I'm waiting for the documentary on the man who brought Bush and his cronies to justice, but that's never coming.

This is a great drama with a mix of speaking and sign language. It's about a family of fishermen from Gloucester, Mass where everyone is deaf but the daughter. The daughter is the interpreter for the family but now a teen, she has her own dreams for her life. On Apple+ but also in the electrical universe of the Internet torrents.

Another good one is Halo Series... Paramount+  and I beleive Showtime plus in the torrents.

The man Putin couldn't kill 'Alexei Navalny'

I dunno if I got the heads up on here or from somewhere else? But either way, whoever I got the heads up from, 'THANK YOU' very much. An absolutely brilliant film about an amazing brilliant man.

And also he made one himself---  "I Called My Killer. He Confessed"  I think this was before he became President-- after a failed attempt to poison him,. He says-- That he called one of them pretending to be a Putin Aid asking  -:What the hell went wrong. ....You can watch it on YouTube. IMDB give it a 9- https://www.imdb.com/title/tt13876312/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

"Opposition figure Alexey Navalny says he’s managed to fool one of the federal agents who

tried to kill him into a confession. Using a spoofed telephone number and posing as an assistant

for Russian National Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, Navalny himself called

Konstantin Kudryavtsev (a chemical-weapons specialist, according to Bellingcat) and

spent nearly an hour questioning him about the failed attempt to poison him in August.

During their conversation, Kudryavtsev told Navalny that the dose used to poison him

would have been fatal if the plane’s pilot hadn’t made an emergency landing in Omsk

and if paramedics on the ground hadn’t acted as quickly as they did."

Don't want to do mutable posts---so rant on one

Barry

I really like this series ---but 23 minutes, what a rip off, its a 30 minute slot on USA TV . That equates to 1 min Adds to every 3 min of TV.

Thank you God--(Bob Kahn) for Internet. & for the uploaders that remove all the adds before sending it on.

Great series --good acting, found I had read the book on the current one---what a bummer, they take so long between series and I do plough through the books--(mainly because there free)  Never mind I can show the wife how smart I am by spotting the killer on the 3rd episode.

Anyone reading Michael Connelly  I thought "Crime Beat" the only non Fiction one I think--was a good read , its about Before he became a novelist, he was a crime reporter, covering the detectives who worked the homicide beat .

All of that stuff is on Navalny.

You see the actual phone call.

The agent hasn't been seen since the phone call.

That's the problem today. Too many streaming services. Joe Pickett is streamed on Spectrum, which I had not heard of. Some of these obscure sources never get distributed.

Did a bit or digging and found no torrents anywhere. There's a few season packs on scene rls but the sizes are prohibitive as the episodes appear to be 30 minutes long. Did find it with one of the apps on my android TV box, and downloaded it from there with each episode at around 150MB.

I use a free streaming service  tinyzonetv.to

His "The Lincoln Lawyer" comes to Netflix this week as a 10-ep series. He's an Exec. Producer.

I liked the 2011 movie, hopefully this one is good.

The Man who Putin Couldn't Kill recently viewed on SBS Australia and is still on SBS On Demand for those who have access. It is also on Youtube.

I regularly read all the posts on this site and I don't recall a reference to it being posted here before.
