In the Academy Awards Lynn Redgrave was nominated for Best Actress and James Mason for Best Supporting Actor. Also nominations for Best Cinematography – Black-and-White by Kenneth Higgins and Best Song by The Seekers. It's an interest of mine when watching older movies to try and identify some of the filming locations. At 1:35:00 in the movie there's a scene of Mason and Redgrave in the Paddington Borough on Maida Street. It's interesting to see how it's changed since 56 years. For instance, the tree trunk in front of the building on the corner of Edgware and Aberdeen has visibly gained in girth. Most everything is as it was. The Hammer2021 Posted July 26, 2022 Share Posted July 26, 2022 David Warner , British actor died recently- he was in many films and movies but an early one somewhat iconoclastic was 'Morgan a Suitable Case For Treatment'. I remember seeing this as a teenager in the 60s - it gave a first hint of an alternative to bourgeois orthodoxy- a hint of a rebellion and counter culture. It also has Vanessa Redgrave and Arthur Mullard and other die hards from the English film industry notably Ealing studios. Acting is superb, the scripts are unique and the dialogue is incomparable to contemporary movies. Edward G. The actual footage, especially when colorised, is mesmerising to watch. Often it seems to be present time.They Shall Not Grow Old is a 2018 documentary film directed and produced by Peter Jackson. The film was created using original footage of the First World War from the Imperial War Museum's archives, most previously unseen, all over 100 years old by the time of release. Audio is from BBC and Imperial War Museum (IWM) interviews of British servicemen who fought in the conflict. Most of the footage has been colourised and transformed with modern production techniques, with the addition of sound effects and voice acting to be more evocative and feel closer to the soldiers' actual experiences. Yeah, sometimes happens to me when downloading old or hard to get media. There's not a lot you can do in these cases when using public tracker sites, except let it chug away in the background. Unless you have access to private tracker sites or the media is available on one of the many free streaming sites. Someone more knowledgeable than me may be able to provide better advice. It's predicated on an alternative history in which the Russians land on the moon first. Other differences include Nixon remains in power, Lenton lives etc. Its quite a good show.
