Popular Post webfact Posted January 10, 2022 Popular Post Posted January 10, 2022 CCTV footage from a level crossing in the Asoke area of Bangkok yesterday morning showed a black car narrowly miss two motorcycles and plow headlong into a barrier. Sanook reporters went to the scene where a motorcycle taxi guy confirmed the incident happened about 7 am. The woman behind the wheel of the car stopped a little further down the road. A railway official at the scene said that the driver caused about 10,000 baht damage and agreed to pay up. She said that she thought she saw a green light but didn't see the barrier. She had travelled from the north east, Sakon Nakhon, in a friend's car. She was famous "Mor Lam" country singer Prisana Wongsiri - nickname Kai - who was a Miss Thailand Universe runner-up in 1987. Those barriers in general, and that one in particular, are always accompanied by flashing red lights and clanging bells when they're down - pretty hard to miss. Luckily, the barrier at that intersection is always lowered well in advance of the oncoming train, probably because of people like her... 1
