Are you here on a tourist entry, with existing "Covid" extensions, and looking for another one? If so, try yourself before using an agent. You might run into trouble, but there is a good chance everything will go smoothly. If rejected, you still have the option of using an agent. If you quietly ask around on the way out of Immigration, you can likely find someone right there. For a "Covid" extension, the cost should be less than 5,000 baht over and above the regular 1,900 baht extension fee.

If not on a tourist entry, and looking for other than a "Covid" extension, explain your circumstances.

This OP has been on covid extensions and I recall previous horrible experience last covid extension at CW.

Had to show outward flight, which is BS.

Think CW started this latest trick.

I have been assisting guy in exact same boat and experience as the OP.

He obtained covid extension Monday. Again some flack with the "this is your last".

Some folk get very upset. Understandably.

I've thought of your idea of checking it out and looking on site for agent.

Personally I would just use agent given CW rubbish.

Same deal at MTT. They have a "Dragon Lady" scolding all the farangs who are extending their covid extensions.

How much is Thai visa Centre charging for Covid extensions these days? Especially the ones who last entered Thailand on Elite visa?

Would sincerely like to know if they read. thank you.

Must be due to Jan 25 looming.

What's the real estate saying...

"It's a sellers market"

I think you should go along yourself and have a go by yourself.

You could consider one of those "rent a flight" tickets.

Google "onward flight" and you will see options approx 12usd.

You shouldn't have to however an option.

@ThaiVisaCentre

You could check them out.

Think they have pick up drop off service in Bangkok.

Yes, I think that is the only agent in Bangkok, though I could be wrong, most of the agents are in Pattaya.

There are several in Bangkok.

Bangkok Buddy is one. Helpful lady (Thai) named Tanya.

I sometimes mention TVC as can PM them on AseanNow.

Most agents have office and web page. Communication via LINE or MESSENGER etc.

Personally wouldn't deal with any agent that did not have office etc.

Obviously I'm not referring to 90 reports and the minor stuff.

Wow....some serious "visa extension scalping".  Over 500% the normal fee to get an extension!

Previously think covid extension was about 5-6k that included pick up drop off and the 1900b extension fee.

Not sure what it currently is.

The 10k was only mentioned by OP.

I would try without agent and most likely have a outbound flight (rent ticket) given the previous experience.

I just wish immigration would calm the heck down.

You were only given 30 days when entered Thailand.

Seems you entered visa exempt?

In your passport you will have stamp with "admitted till" date.

If that's 7 Feb then you arrived visa exempt.

Your first extension will be standard 30 day extension. You obtain that prior to any covid extension.

That extension takes you till approx March 10.

"Your starting date is January 9, 2019 so that means that 60 days later would be March 10, 2019."

After that you can obtain covid extension if available.

They are due to close January 25.

Many think they will be available after Jan 25.

Extensions are 1900 baht.

You can only obtain an extension at immigration office where you have filed a TM30.

Added catch with covid extension is that some/many offices give under consideration period.

This can be an issue if plan is to travel about during stay.

You don't have a Tourist Visa.

You have a Visa Exempt Entry.

When your 30 days are almost up apply for a 30 day extension.

That should take you until 8-9th April.

There are several in Bangkok.

You can Google them.

It is then easy to contact them from their web sites and inquire as to their rates for whatever service you require.

All that I contacted were helpful concerning my situation.

Less now, but it also depends on your current history.

We wish we could go back to old pricing for these extensions for all situations, but it is what it is.

You can message my team via line for the latest pricing based on your individual situation.

Was it for arrival in Thailand under PE Elite visa and when was your quotation? thank you in advance.

We don't assist with extensions on top of the PE Elite visa.

You would need to contact Thailand Elite, and have them handle your extension, or they may be able to provide you a letter.

Not on Elite visa anymore, but my last arrival in Thailand was when I was still under Elite visa. And that's why I am being quoted differently it seems by your agency as far as I am told. I'm not criticizing, it just hurts that I have to pay more than others just because of my status when I last arrived here.

How much is your current quotation for my case if I may ask?

PS: currently on covid extension, volunteer prior to this.

Yes but since you entered under Elite Visa they actually hold your case.

If you can provide us with a letter from them permitting our agency to do your 60 day extension then we can take on this case.

Cases connected to Thailand Elite are not simple, as you are technically still connected to their visa, and you must go through them.

Thanks for your answer. I will go through your Line service tomorrow as usual and proceed. I now understand why it makes my case more complicated

Post you quoted was incorrect.

Check post just prior.

~ March 10 correct date.
