Cooking Gas Price Frozen until March

BANGKOK, Jan 12 (TNA) – The Committee on Energy Policy Administration (CEPA) resolved to freeze the price of cooking gas at 318 baht per 15-kilogram cylinder until March 31, extended from the end of this month.

 

Kulit Sombatsiri, permanent secretary for energy, said CEPA told its secretariat to ask the Board of the Oil Fuel Fund to manage the fund in accordance with the latest policy on the cooking gas price.

 

CEPA has frozen the cooking gas price for nearly two years to help people affected by COVID-19. It has spent 23.56 billion baht on subsidizing the price.

My wife seems to cook on one cylinder of gas for about 5-6 months up.  One of the best things about Thailand is the cost of cooking my lunch !

Someone forgot to tell my local supplier that prices have been frozen for two years. We've had, I think, three increases in that time. Thailand - Hub of Scams.

i pay 390 here for a 15 kilo..we Cook every day  and the gas lasts so long for once i can't complain

I would suggest the dealer who is charging you 390 is also getting a subsidy from the government to sell at 318, dosnt matter who or where from 318 max is 318, matters little to me we are all electric, but if electric was capped I would moan if it was more.
