January 13, 20224 yr Good evening all, If a car is involved in a major accident (declared a total loss and complete write off), is there any recording of it in the blue book and if so, any particular page? From some information I've seen, they use page 18 for tracking changes regarding the car but likely just provincial and owner.
January 13, 20224 yr only things like color change, engine change with different serial no. or type of fuel like addition of LPG/CNG system is recorded you can see the chain of custody in owner change, if it changed from an owner to the insurance company, that might be a telltale sign of a total loss write-off, but the next owner could declare the blue book loss and get a clean one only showing the most recent owner

January 14, 20224 yr Unlike the USA where a rebuilt car must be documented on the title, I don't believe this happens here. Buyer be Beware!
