Popular Post webfact
File photo Thailand's Anti-Fake News Center warned the public that using a phone or communication device while driving is illegal and warrants a 400-1000 baht fine. The only exception is using something like Small Talk or Bluetooth. Even when stopped in traffic or at red lights it is illegal to call out or answer your phone, play games or text, reported Siam Rath. You are driving and the engine is on even though you are not moving, said the media. You should go to a gas station or park somewhere if you need to use the phone. Looking at online information is also a no-no while driving. In my Benz the engine turns off automatically whenever I stop the vehicle to save on emissions. Does this mean I can still play with my phone? 1 2

Popular Post Guderian
If this is the case then there's no point in pulling over and stopping to take a phone call, which is what I always do, now I may as well just take the call while I'm driving since the penalty will be the same in the unlikely event that a cop, who's not checking out his phone while on his motorbike, spots me. 1 1 2
Popular Post richard_smith237
A nation which remains unable to effectively enforce helmet laws is going to struggle with enforcing no-phone use in cars..... that’s simply a step of proactiveness too far.... ... well, any proactiveness is a step too far for Thailand really.... Yes... that is a Thai-bash... I’m not ashamed of it, its wholly deserved. 16 3

Popular Post Damrongsak
i have no interest in talking on the phone, especially a mobile. I've had a land line home phone for maybe 25 years. My I phone 6 was given to me, and I don't answer it if I'm driving. I never text, as my fingers are not compatible with the damned touch keypad on these silly phones. Years back when I was a salesman on the road I would have loved them. Now I have no need or desire. 7 1

This is called 'distracted driving' and has been shown to be just as dangerous as using a handheld set. The driver's mind should be 100% on the task of driving. I agree with @userabcd, their use should be banned altogether. Edited January 26, 2022 by Moonlover Change name 5 3 1
