US government presents Thai border police with close quarter battle building

Acting US ambassador Michael Heath and the deputy of the Thai Border Patrol Police Pol Maj-Gen Worayuth Sukhawat presided over the opening ceremony of a building to help border police combat crime.

 

At a facility in Mae Teng, Chiang Mai a building and extension used to train Thais in close quarter battle was handed over officially to the authorities.

It cost along with a firing range and other facilites $600,000 or just short of 20 million baht and is part of 1.2million dollars worth of US aid to help the Thai authorities.

This was given to the police, not the military.

Anyone else see the hypocrisy of a representative of the US Government giving advice and help to border police?  Now estimated over 2 million illegal aliens have come across the US southern border in the last 12 months.

Why does the US need to give them this? Thailand is not yet the USA, does not need FIBUA buildings for its police. It just encourages US style 'policing' in Thailand.

although th enumbers are much smaller, there are significant number of illegal immigrants coming across the northern border too.  Apparently they are mainly Indian, brown not red.

 

Ukraine should not let in any Russians but the US should welcome everyone from Mexico and Guatamala.
