A petition to remove Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha for interfering with the judiciary is currently under consideration but analysts tell Thai Enquirer that it was unlikely that he will be removed from office.

 

Former senior Supreme Court judge Sriamporn Salikup, current senior Supreme Court judge Somchart Thanyawinitkul and the Deputy Chief of Justice at the Central Labour Court, Naraphat Sujiworakul together filed a petition for the NACC to investigate Prayut and Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam on January 25 for overstepping their authority.

 

They said Prayut and Wissanu violated Section 193 of the constitution and sections 157 and 91 of the Criminal Code by interfering with the personnel administration of the Court of Justice when they appointed the former secretary-general of the Court of Justice Sarawut Benjakul as the director of the university council at the Prince of Songkla University and two other positions.

That's even more depressing.

With a bought and paid for senate, and a partial judiciary, the only thing he would not be likely to survive would be a well placed, high caliber round, or a mortar attack. 

The problem is that the NACC and other similar institutions are filled with the Muppet in chiefs people as he appointed them, hence why we see no prosecution's.

The gravy train rumbles on and on.
