Hill tribesman dies in area he was familiar with - crashes motorcycle on Doi Inthanon bend

Daily News Thai Caption: Accident on bend on Doi Inthanon

 

Daily News reported on the death of a Thai Yai hill tribesman on a bend in Doi Inthanon, Thailand's highest mountain in Chiang Mai. 

 

Jom Thong police were called to the Jom Thong to Doi  Inthanon Road where the fatality occured at a bend after the barrier was hit.

Twenty five year old Jaikheng, a man with Myanmar nationality was dead at the scene near his overturned Honda Wave. 

 

The media published a grim picture of the corpse under a blanket barely concealing the blood.

 

They mad much of the fact that the rider should have known the road.

Any loss of life is sad. Road looks a bit damp in places, brake failure, failure to brake, playing with phone? No mention of helmet or not. Huge loss of blood could have been caused by the sharp metal barrier. Another avoidable tragedy.

 

I don't know what the red and white vehicle is but it looks as if a few things have run into it.

Just told my wife about this, and she's already speculating he saw a forest ghost !

I wonder just how good the thread was on his motorbike? I have seen a few with 

nearly bald tires.  

RIP Jaikheng.  At least you died on holy ground.
