A female drug user has been arrested at a laundry shop in Pattaya last night for allegedly smoking methamphetamine (known as “ice” locally) in public. (February 23rd).

The Pattaya City Police were notified of the incident at the laundry shop in Soi Bongkot in Nongprue just before Midnight when another anonymous laundromat patron called police stating they were shocked at the behavior.

Pattaya City Police arrived at the scene to find the Thai woman aged around 40 who wasn’t immediately identified and did not have any documentation on her. Crystal methamphetamine was found on the table along with tools used to assist in smoking it. The woman appeared to be blatantly smoking the drug in public and made no attempt to disguise her behavior.

invited police to take a hit with her, stating it would give them more energy.

Police declined the offer.

She seems a friendly little lady.

I reckon the cops were hoping for more than a hit.

Judging by the cops appearance at the police stations I've visited over the many years they definitely could do with more energy, they're usually asleep.

...poor thing...a cry for help.

Take it easy on her, poor thing had the wait for the long cycle wash and she just needed to a little pep-up, a quick toke, get high ... seems reasonable to a meth addict.

"The woman also stated she “loved” ice"

me too but unfortunately one hit wonder

The 'anonymous laundromat patron' who ratted on her is a creep of the first order.

I don't perceive that as being the worst thing going on in this incident.

I dont have a problem with her doing ICE but to do it blatantly in public that is just crazy.

"Dude.  Take a hit!  You won't want to arrest me."

She'll probably do three years in prison.  What she need is a medical intervention and help.  Thailand really needs to embrace the Portugal drug model.  Bust the actual big traffickers; provide medical help and counseling for the addicts.

If they did that, wo would be left to run the country?  ????

She choose the drugs. Her choice.
