jollyhangmon
Yes, after spectacularly failing supply same goes for rescue, rather unsurprisingly ... 18 year old conscripts? I'd like to see No Toes explaining that to their parents. The source said some of the wounded had not eaten for five days, arrived disoriented and wanted to call their parents: "These are patients who were born in 2003, from poor regions of Russia. Basically, they are still children." https://www.dw.com/en/wounded-russian-soldiers-fill-belarusian-hospitals/a-61181434 ... also interesting: https://www.dw.com/en/a-new-arab-spring-thanks-to-the-ukraine-war/a-61165023 Edited March 20, 2022 by jollyhangmon 1

Most of us would have taken any option to get out of the battlefield, considering age, health, kids, etc. I guess the russians will use it as propaganda as best they can where they saved them from the evil Ukraine. 1

ozimoron
I'd rather see Putin face a war crimes tribunal and then jail rather than dead. If he's innocent then so be it. If not.. he can rot in jail and other would be fascists will forever be reminded what happens to war criminals. 1

Maybe that's why it is reported Russian forces are held up. What's probably happening is the General's ordered a halt to the advance and are just pounding cities to the ground at a distance.

But there is no doubt who is the aggressor here, and who invaded a sovereign country on false claims, and using propaganda and brutal force to silence anyone who is telling the real truth inside Russia. Still war crimes is most likely done by both parts, it is a war, and no war so far I can know, been a clean fair operation, when either invading a sovereign country or trying to defend it, war crimes will be part of the war!

How Putin sees it, doesnt matter, it is about being internationally reckonized as a soverign country. Recognition of Ukraine: December 5, 1991. 2. The establishment of diplomatic relations: January 6, 1992. Two days after the 1991 Ukrainian independence referendum, neighboring Hungary became the first country to establish diplomatic relations with Ukraine on 3 December 1991 and Ukraine has since then established diplomatic relations with about 180 of the 193 United Nations member countries, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_diplomatic_relations_of_Ukraine 4 6

Its also on the BBC website updates. Of course there's no confirmation of this from Russia, its hardly likely to own up to another war crime. 1 3
