I have looked at and enlarged the images of the plane as it came down, seems to me the rear section of the aircraft has gone, the engines of this model are right at the rear of the aircraft. A ground to air missile will home in on a heat source, engines....

OR did Prigozhin stage his demise as he has done before.....

Yes maybe it is staged, the statement said they found only 8 bodies out of ten people on the plane.Looks to me a wing came off.

More things to happen shortly for sure, the plane did belong to Prigozhin.

I still think putin is behind it and if so it goes to show you can never have an issue with putin. You will die, until one day what goes around comes around.either way i don't really care, anything to stop this war.

Well if he is still alive I wonder if he took his wigs and various paraphernalia for his many disguises with him.

Many faces of Wagner chief Prigozhin: Warlord’s disguises and chilling pictures of his home leaked after Russian raid

Reports are that 2 Wagner owned aircraft took off.  One crashed and the other one turned around and landed in Moscow.  If I were cynical, I'd suspect the first plane was a decoy.

If that is the case, we probably won't know for awhile.

Drones targeted 6 regions in biggest attack on Russian soil in 18 months, Russian officials say

MOSCOW (AP) — Russian officials accused Ukraine of targeting six Russian regions with drones early Wednesday in what appears to be the biggest drone attack on Russian soil since Moscow sent troops into Ukraine 18 months ago.

Drones hit an airport in the western Pskov region and started a massive fire there, the local governor and media reported. According to the Defense Ministry, more drones were also shot down over the regions of Oryol, Bryansk, Ryazan, Kaluga and the Moscow region surrounding the Russian capital.

The strike in Pskov hit an airport in the region’s namesake capital and damaged four Il-78 transport aircraft, Russia’s state news agency Tass reported, citing emergency officials.

Detail on today's drone attack.

The first drones travelled 700km inside Russian airspace before detection.

This says a lot for the capability of Russia, supposedly the second largest defence force in world.

Wacko jihadists around the world are taking notes right now. Commercial airports around the world are totally undefended against this new threat.

How hard is it for an Indonesian fanatic to sail close to Singapore international Airport and launch this kind of paper plane right at a fully fueled A380?

I suggest that Ukraine took 'notes' from 'wacko jihadist' Isis when they used drones to drop hand grenades onto their enemies, almost a decade ago.

'By 2016, ISIS had modified DJI Phantom quadcopters to drop grenades. This tactic spread and was soon common among armed groups.

"Ukraine claims to have made a significant breakthrough in its counteroffensive, saying its forces have 'decisively breached' Russia’s first defensive line near Zaporizhzhia, a key region in the south."

This advance has been confirmed, with the Ukrainians already reclaiming the major town of Robotyne, and if they can bolster their positions, and continue their momentum, it represents a huge swing in their favour.  There are two further Russian defensive lines, but this first one was, in theory, the toughest to breach, protected by a 1km long minefield, with no paths through it, which the Ukrainians have successfully negotiated.  However, the minefields between the first and second, and second and third, lines are far less intimidating, with numerous supply paths through them which the Ukrainians would have been watching and mapping using drones.  It's been reported that the Russians are taking soldiers from elsewhere along the line to support this area, and not using reserve troops, which would have been the logical thing to do - if they actually have any reserve troops left.  If true, let's hope the Ukrainians have further troops poised to take advantage of the resulting thinner defensive lines.

Russian Helicopter Pilot Details His Defection Flight To Ukraine

At about 4:30 p.m. Aug. 9, Russian helicopter pilot Maxim Kuzminov and two crew members boarded their Mi-8AMTSh Hip combat transport helicopter at Kursk airport for what appeared to be a routine mission. But unbeknownst to the crew, this would be the last flight these men and their aircraft would take for Russia. It wasn’t until the helicopter - which had reached its maximum altitude and was traveling under radio silence - then dipped down very low as it crossed the Russian border that anything seemed out of the ordinary.
