I've done similar rides along the side of, or over the khlongs in Bangkok but I'm not so good with heights so there would have to be a VERY good reason for me to ride over that.

If I had to do it, I'd do it pretty fast and I certainly wouldn't be looking left/right/down.

When I first came to Thailand I taught in a school in Bang Kapi near Saphan Sung. Once you got off the airport link there were two ways to get across the highway...use the pedestrian bridge and grab a moto on the other side to school -or- grab a moto taxi on the ARL side where the driver would navigate narrow dirt paths along a network of small khlongs (one way only and someone had to stop and get off to the side if a bike was coming in the opposite direction). Only did that a couple of times when I was very late for work...harrowing

Crawl across

Yep if I had to cross that bridge the only way would be on my hands & knees. Heights are not one of my strong points...I get dizzy standing on a chair to change a light bulb. ????

What he said but, sorry Papa, I'd have to keep my feet down and only on the chicken chaser.

Basically if the rider in the video can, so can we all.

It wouldn't bother me to ride it as long as no-body was coming the other way.

I think I'd be OK ..... done a few (short) plank crossings in the past, but I'd need to force myself to look straight ahead.

I'd be worried that if I looked to the side, I'd be over the edge.  I'm prone to target fixation when riding off road, as shown by a few rocks, trees and mud puddles I've hit .... fortunately at low speeds

It is always difficult to see the real width of that on a video.

I rode an unprotected concrete way (I think) similar to that for maybe 200m straight and I could see that nobody was on that thing. The big difference was the "bridge" which I was riding on was about 1m above standing water. So worst case I and possibly my bike would be in water.

I think wind is certainly a big factor.

One I rode over the Rama III bridge over the river in Bangkok. That bridge does officially not allow motorcycles. The bridge is very wide so even if I would have crashed there was no way I would have fallen down. But the wind up there and sudden gusts was very uncomfortable. I wouldn't like to do it again.
