The Fuel Fund Executive Committee decided today (Monday) to increase the retail price of diesel fuel by 1 baht to 33 baht per litre from tomorrow. The new price will remain for at least a week, as the committee will meet again on June 6th to decide whether the price should be further adjusted.

 

Director of the Oil Fuel Fund Office Wisak Watanasap said that it is necessary to increase the price of diesel because the global are rising, due to the easing of lockdown measures in China and the reduction in US strategic oil reserves, as well as speculation that the price of crude oil will remain high next week.

Crude climbed rose to over $120 a barrel today, hitting a two-month high, while markets wait to see if the European Union member states will agree to ban Russian oil imports.

If it runs on diesel it may well be working out cheaper than a petrol vehicle in Thailand though.. 

Another Baht for diesel?  We can take it—but in return, can you please push the Baht down?

A trite cliché not terribly conversant with the economics of supply and demand,not to mention the fallout from Covid lockdowns. Where is paper and milk quoted as being in short supply?

Still VERY cheap. £1.80 litre in U.K. = 77 baht litre!

Average diesel price around Sydney today is 52 baht ($A2.10) per litre.

 

 

 

 

 

 

It's amazing I see these double trucks flying around up here most of the time empty and speeding it must be costing them a fortune  but compared to everywhere else I guess it's cheap

I haven't notice a difference in the price of diesel I put 1000baht in and next time it was still only 1000baht again. ????
