Bang Khla police in Chachoengsao were called after a double shooting in Pak Nam district in which a hospital employee killed two people before shooting himself dead.

The incident started when the shooter, who had been drinking, had an argument with workers who had come in a cement mixer to work at a construction site causing noise.

Dead at the scene was 69 year old Sompong - a neighbor.

Injured with a shot to the head was a 40 year old construction worker called Suphachoke Karak from Sri Racha. He later died in hospital from his injury, reported Thai Rath

The shooter was Therdsak Namkhang, 42, an employee at Bang Khla hospital in the central/eastern Thai province of Chachoengsao.

Described as a loner who lives alone, he went back in his house where at 8 pm, with police in a standoff outside, he shot himself with a .38 gun.

Bang Khla chief Pornchai Kittichayathorn said that Therdsak had been off work for three days and had been drinking outside his house when the cement mixer arrived.

Suphachoke was confronted first and then Therdsak shot a completely innocent neighbor who had had no trouble with Therdsak before.

The chief said that Therdsak was stressed with work and family issues.

USA problems coming here?

What does 'come in a cement mixer' mean?

Ahhhh, bless!

Totally reasonable reaction then - Not!

It means they arrived in one of those large trucks that carry cement in a rotating barrel on the back.

It's amazing how small arguments can turn into multiple shootings here. Some people are very highly strung.

I've heard of 'tipping the concrete'......but that is another topic altogether.

I think its a typo --should be come with a cement mixer .... the ready mix trucks are in / out in no time.

kills worker, then neighbor, then himself............. "They always get it the wrong way round dont they" .......:coffee1:

I see the "good guys with guns" all cowering behind a shield!

'Throwing a mix in'

No problem. As they say, he was just a little bit stressed, and let some steam out.

I'm pretty sure that's standard for swat teams around the world.

USA problems coming here?  No.  These are all established issues of behavior that were already in Thailand.   Part of the mentality, immaturity, and aggressiveness of many people here.  Can be set off over the most minor issues.
People act like nothing  ever happens here.   Maybe not mass incidents like  in Korat in I believe 2020 .  I guess some have conveniently forgot about that one.    Watch the Thai news each day? Many individual incidents each day.  Assault , robbery, murders, confrontational people. Turn a blind eye to issues here just because you dislike western countries or your own country.   This place isn’t utopia.

Love the fact that they are wearing face masks whilst being shot at !

Great picture of Thai police advancing in Roman testudo formation.  Should be good against arrows and spears.  Love the guy at the back showing bum crack.

But at least the Thai cops are willing to have a go, unlike the pussies in Ulvade Texas strutting around with cowboy hats and M4 rifles waiting for the gunman to finish his job and for young kids to bleed out on the floor.

Stressed, so killed a blameless, uninvolved neighbour. God help us ...

Most of these killings are alcohol influenced

I recall what the driver was doing into the potable water he delivered after having a dispute with the recipient! We are at their mercy....
