Someone said something, not enough brown envelopes or someone very upset. That was a well run place and it looked like it.One of many probadly, make them legal  the gov win and rich thais will  not need to go to borders in cambodia. How many illegal casino,s they want,I  knew one in cnx, controlled by the mafia and the pay offs to let it remain open. That was yrs ago and always full of local thais,it did close in time, but the gov needs to wake up with what other parts of the world do with gambling.

You seem to be quite a liberal when it comes to gambling Steven, I thought you were against anything against the law? Some of us can move our principals to suit our mood it seems

The headline "Thirty eight foreigners and 14 Thais ......"; wondering why 38 was written in letters?

They made 52 arrests of gamblers playing the card game baccarat - 14 Thais, 22 Chinese, 14 people from Myanmar and two Malaysians.

Does that mean, that the dirty farang made a runner in time, some boys did not receive their envelopes or was some dirt thrown between the non-existing gambling dens? Asking for a friend ....

I think Casinos are fine ... they bring in tourists and they bring in taxes.   Bangkok & Pattaya should have had 5 star hotel / casinos by now.   imo

I agree with your views . The contradiction is that horse racing and betting on the outcome , 2 lotteries , cock fighting and betting are all allowed ?  I reckon Bingo would be a big hit in Thailand ,, especially with the ladies . Betting on line is possible and I make a regular trip to Cambodian casinos

BC, Before Covid, when the annual fair came around the villages, they all had a Bingo stall though not for money prizes.
