Tell us what the average rate of exchange was between 22 April 2013 and the brexit vote. Then tell us what the average rate of exchange was between the brexit vote and today. Of course you are perfectly free to believe they are the same, doesn't make it fact. My point was that the Pound/Baht rates historically fluctuates by large amounts and for various reasons . The Baht was one of the best performing currencies at one stage and the Pound was over valued before......................wait, we really need to get back on topic
RayC Posted July 24, 2022 Posted July 24, 2022 22 hours ago, Mac Mickmanus said: The problem with that system is that highly populated inner cities would then have a controlling stake in politics and the sparsely populated Countryside living people would have little or no say in the elections and the Political parties would concentrate on getting the city votes and neglecting the sparsely populated areas . Political parties would then just have to get the London/Cities vote to win the election . Give everything to the cities and neglect the countryside and win the election . That is the reason why the U.K has the current system , because it gives people living in sparsely populated areas a say in elections Can you explain why a country dweller's vote is worth less than a city dweller's vote under a PR based voting system? 1

If they turned up for work as they were supposed to do, there would be no queues. Rubbish, there will always be queues, only the depth will vary. People voted to queue up and have their passports stamped. When I disembarked at Vienna on my way back to Thailand a few weeks ago, had to queue up and get passport stamped, no longer able to use the fast lanes for EU passports. 4

Blair's error on Iraq was to get in bed with the Americans and go against EU policy, something which we may see happening more frequently in this post-Brexit future. The Tories of course were 100% behind him, unlike the Lib-Dems and a third of his own MPs. 2 1

The EU citizens were virtually walking through their gates. 1 1

How long does it take to stamp a passport ? 1 second ? 60 per minute 3600 per hour 36 000 in ten hours Ten booths , thats 360 000 people stamped in per day 2

Had the British population had known that would have to get a stamp in their passport when entering France , they may have voted to Remain in the E.U ? Maybe the Remainers should have gotton a big red bus with the words written on the side "Don't get a French stamp in your Passport, Vote Remain " ? 1

The delays in entering France have been caused by Covid status checking at PP control , my French friend who works for Eurostar has told me that everyone who enters France needs to show proof of full vaccinations and boosters , what vaccine they had and when they had it done or PCR tests or whatever the current requirements are . This takes much more time than just stamping passports with an entry stamp and is the cause of delays 1

This weekend’s queues at Dover are wholly a French problem. Queues for you through Vienna are acceptable. We would rather have a free UK than your convenience in foreign airports. 1
