My point was that the Pound/Baht rates historically fluctuates by large amounts and for various reasons .

   The Baht was one of the best performing currencies at one stage  and the Pound was over valued before......................wait, we really need to get back on topic

Rubbish, there will always be queues, only the depth will vary. People voted to  queue up and have their passports stamped.

When I disembarked at Vienna on my way back to Thailand a few weeks ago, had to queue up and get passport stamped, no longer able to use the fast lanes for EU passports.

Do keep up, UK passports are now stamped, maybe you think reading and stamping can be done in the same time.

It takes a lot longer than 1 second, but however long it takes, it’s a procedure that only became necessary due to Brexit.

Had the British population had known that would have to get a stamp in their passport when entering France , they may have voted to Remain in the E.U ?

   Maybe the Remainers should have gotton a big red bus with the words written on the side 

"Don't get a French stamp in your Passport, Vote Remain " ?

The delays in entering France have been caused by Covid status checking at PP control  , my French friend who works for Eurostar has told me that everyone who enters France needs to show proof of full vaccinations and boosters , what vaccine they had and when  they had it done or PCR tests or whatever the current requirements are .

   This takes much more time than just stamping passports with an entry stamp and is the cause of delays

This weekend’s queues at Dover are wholly a French problem. 
Queues for you through Vienna are acceptable. We would rather have a free UK than your convenience in foreign airports.
