Has there ever been a sillier statement from an elected official who supposedly swore an oath not to a person, but to the Constitution?

 

Now the reason the public knows what they know is because of a combination of 45 whines and on-scene reporters talking about 12 boxes of stuff carried off.

 

Both DoJ and FBI have remained quiet, as they should. Any utterance by either would immediately be met with cries of 'prejudicial statements'. The pros at both entities have given no ammo to the cult.

 

45 is free to publicize the warrant, too, as he has a full copy, but he has chosen not to do so, as that would take away his ability to try to control the narrative. He can whine like the crybaby he is---and it works in his cult---but it has to frustrate him that DoJ and FBI are behaving 100% professionally and in no way prejudicing the situation.

AG Garland has a history of quietly running leak proof investigations that methodically build into successful prosecutions.

 

Both sides of the media have for their own reasons portrayed the DoJ silence to be evidence that Trump had got away with it all.

 

The existence of crImes like the existence of Grand Juries was hiding in plain sight.

 

Trump’s removal of classified documents was already reported, as was his habit of destroying documents.

 

Arrests and searchers were being made.

 

The Justice machine is turning, searches, arrests and indictments are underway.

 

I know why the rightwing wish to deny these facts, I have absolutely no idea why so many on the left freely join them in doing so.

 

Justice is coming.

I agree, just one point on the constant money donations he asks for. While he certainly benefits from these funds, I personally think there's more of a physiological reason to doing this. Even if they don't donate much, sending just what they can gives them direct investment in the cause, a stronger determination that they have contributed to ensure their fight is won. Much like a cult leader seeks donations from those he controls.

Me personally I'd like to see Trump fade away. When you say supporters, I'm assuming you mean Republicans. Just because one holds conservative values doesn't mean they are Trump supporters, or "his base".

 

If the FBI finds nothing to charge Trump with from the "Search" I'd say Trump could be headed for another run.

Was listening to MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnel podcast and he kick of the show with an email he received from Trump’s fundraising team. This is how the email read. 
 

Mar-a-lago was raided. The radical left is corrupt. We must return the power to the people. Please rush in a donation IMMEDIATELY to publicly stand with me against this never ending witch hunt” Deadline is immediate and even an amount of $45 was mentioned. 
 

What a disgusting and obnoxious way to grift. Like an order to his people to drop everything and just donate. Just hearing Lawrence relating the story make me want to puke.

Not all Republicans followed Trump into the rabbit hole of lies, misinformation, conspiracy theories and fascist inclination. In fact, half of Republicans votes are ready to leave Trump behind according to poll findings and that include his base. His support is waning and this recent FBI search and his NY civil case will piled up with his other cases under investigation and will overwhelmed his base to a number that will embarrass him if he intend to run for 2024 election that is if he not barred from running.

I'm sure this warrant and raid were conducted based on very good evidence. 

 

However I'm equally sure that whatever they do find (Top Secret documents, valuable gifts from foreign countries, Jimmy Hoffa's body...), Trump's base will insist it's no big deal and continue to believe the raid was political.

I doubt the FBI would go through the trouble of obtaining a search warrant (and all the scrutiny that comes with doing so for an ex-Prez) unless they were darn certain of what they will find.  But regardless, even if they found nothing, there's already a mountain of evidence related to Jan 6/Georgia that the DOJ can indict Trump on.  The stuff they found here would have only added to the multitude of charges Trump is already facing.

For obvious reasons, the J6 committee’s goalposts keep shifting. FYI I gave up drinking alcohol over 2 years ago as I was drinking 3 or 4 bottles of Hong Thong a week. I figured out that after drinking alcohol for about 60 years it was time my body had a rest from it.

 

Absolutely nothing at all to do with underlying anger/personality issues.

 

Being blunt about it, I was drinking too much so I quit. I have had one shot of whisky in my soda at last New Years Eve, took a mouthful and threw the rest away. At home I have 2 boxes of rum, whisky, vodka etc and they will get drunk by my Thai family at my cremation.

 On the money subject, wasn't it President Trump that did not accept his salary but donated it to worthy causes(1)? He was an idealist wanting to make America great again, not a money motivated guy like the current one. Because he largely paid for his campaign himself(2) he hasn't beholden to lobbyists like most Presidents which was extremely triggering for these powerful groups that wielded influence of policy making for decades.

 I do not know a single supporter of President Donald Trump that feels like they have been made a sucker. Why would they?

You are ignoring the fact the Trump's lawyer have very ably delayed investigations by refusing to cooperate. It seems that they always end up losing which is typical also of  most Trump lawsuits whether played on offense or defense.

Trump says he won't show the warrant. That would be the warrant that at first he said he didn't get.

 

That would be the warrant listing what they were looking for, which would make him look guilty.

 

-The warrant that would clear up whether this was indeed a witch hunt or a legit search.

 

He wants the DOJ to release the warrant so he can say no, that's not what was in the warrant -without ever, of course, showing the warrant.

 

He's already starting to claim that evidence was planted. So as usual, in Trumpland, no amount of facts or evidence is ever enough.
