Condo Owner Fined Over 140,000 Baht For Keeping A Pet In The Unit

From the article "all kinds of animals, such as those that create a nuisance and frighten people"

So, how about geckos?

The article doesn't mention what pet the person had, or their nationality. This is strange.

And as for having to "pay a fine of 141,500 baht to the juristic person", well does that me the juristic person gets to do what he/she likes with all that cash? Seems like a job I'd like to apply for.

Some arsehat in our building is dumping their dogs <deleted> in the enclosed poolside rain gutters at floor level.

If we (the other residents) catch them, we'll rub their nose in it!

PSA: Please don't do this to an actual puppy -adult human trash only!????

"According to Rule 1, item 9.2 it is forbidden to keep all kinds of animals, such as those that create a nuisance and frighten people,  in the condominium or the condominium area."

Why not just state cats or dogs?

Thai people keep all types of animals as pets: eg. rabbits, guinea pigs, snakes, rats, mice... the list goes on. "animals" will cover most of them with the exception of insects and other invertibrates.

Condo owner must love the pet...

or maybe a little share out of the booty latter.

Civil case, not criminal, it's you who's out of touch with the different justice systems.

Yes, within the bounds of the job, of course it does.

Well done, JP.   But, at the same time, I'm thinking of those poor fire victims getting far less.

So far.  Only initial compensation has been paid at this stage.

I’m not saying condo rules should be broken without consequences.  But that is a hefty total fine.  The owner must be a foreigner

Is a foreigner (if it was one) exempt from condo rules?
