"Massamun curry 170 baht pricey, 30 baht small rice" There are many places offering the massamun curry at 120 baht, 20 baht small rice. There are also places where you can have massaman curry for more than 200 baht. "The mini bus from airport is a sham. Have to wait for 10 people. Easier to share a cab 800 baht patong". There is a scheduled aircon bus from the airport to go to Patong that does not have to wait for 10 people. If you have to take a bus, then sharing a cab is too expensive for you. Furthermore, you have to search for people to share a cab with. Must be a slow day.

Bangkok taxis are like 250 baht vs 800 baht. Its just out of line.

It is why when I fly I call a friend to pick us up or have the hotel we are staying at send a car. Most I ever paid for a hotel car was 600 Baht last year when we flew and went to Cape Panwa.
